Sprint pushes Android 2.1 update for Moment and Hero back to Q2

Ruh-roh, looks like Samsung Moment and HTC Hero owners rocking on Sprint may have to wait a little longer for Android 2.1 to roll out to their handsets. A brief but oh-so-disappointing post on Sprint’s forums confirms that Sprint will be delaying the update until Q2. Sprint apologized and thanke its customers for their patience, but somehow that may not be enough for Moment and Hero owners who have been waiting and waiting for the update to be released.

Thanks, Cofiy!Read

    @boydriod:
    Some prefer official updates from their carrier because not everyone knows how to do that or cares to do that.

    Umm… it IS Q2… Q3 starts July 1…

    So they are saying they anticipate having it ready by the end of June. Big whoop.

    Looks like you’ll have to wait forever before you’ll see an update to Android 2.2, 2.3, 2.4,… 3.0… 3.x.

    You’re stuck when you have an Android phone.
