Doesn’t surprise me. I’ve never had a problem with a Samsung phone. I went through 5 LG VX8300 sets before I got one that was defect free.

I came across my last samsung clamshell the other day in a drawer – it’s over 6 years old, and hadn’t been powered up for the last 5 years. It came right on when I hit the power button.

Samsung hardware is top notch. Their UI’s are crap.

tino, are you from N.C. & play in a hootie -esque band? Oh u do know samsung makes android phones, right? (& if this is tino from nc, I f*cked Nicole)

Plenty of people have Samsung. I hate them because the signal strength with all of their phone is the worst.

      • ur an asshole

you are an asshole. even if u did do that, why blast it over the net? u probably caused problems for him and his girl. so if you were with her ur making problems for her too. what a dick!

That’s interesting since I read a post the other day that said Apple had nudged Motorola out of the top seat in the US in Sales. So, from what I gather, no one really knows what the hell is going on as companies continue to pad their earning numbers.

I believe we are not talking about smartphones here…

      • Tdot34

I think it is mobile phones in general, both smartphones and “dumbphones”

  • griffen72

Well, since Samsung has 57 models and Moto only has 43, I can’t say I’m surprised. Strength in numbers I guess.

Far more interesting are these stats (though they don’t say how they got them or how the questions were asked)
    ——————–

In an average month during the January through March 2010 time period, 63.7 percent of U.S. mobile subscribers used text messaging on their mobile device, up 0.6 percentage points versus three months prior. Browsers were used by 30.1 percent of U.S. mobile subscribers (up 2.6 percentage points), while subscribers who used downloaded applications made up 28.6 percent of the mobile audience (up 2.6 percentage points). Access of social networking sites or blogs continued to increase, posting gains of 2.8 percentage points to 18.7 percent of mobile subscribers.

Good luck to Adobe with that whole anti-trust case against Apple!

Motorola died years ago, surprised it took this long…

      @ Scott Corgan

Moto is FAR from death. Droid is just an example of their resilience. I hate it when people declare companies dead. If you were a doctor you’d be sued into oblivion. So glad you are NOT a doctor…

Moto is the in the process of making a shift to the smartphone market so this doesn’t surprise me at all. Unlike Samsung, they have actually delivered some decent smartphones and will be well positioned for the future. If you believe ‘dumbphones’ will always be around you’re kidding yourself.

      • user

I believe dumbphones will always be around (and they will). If you believe everyone will be buying a smartphone at some point in future you’re deluding yourself.

I’m not too fond of Sammy products. Everytime I bought one, I got burned with the lack of firmware/software support. The build quality was decent but the other stuff..No thanks.
