iPhone OS 4.0 beta 3 released to devs (Updated)

The last iPhone OS 4.0 beta was a bit of a wash what with the Camera app constantly crashing, the ability to take screencaps mysteriously vanishing and the code overall being buggy as hell, but we’re really hoping out hope that the newly released beta 3 will be a heck of a lot better. We’re installing it on a few devices as we speak, but we’ll report back if we find any major changes. You’ll do the same, right?

UPDATE: Apple has removed beta 3 from the Dev Center. We’ll try and figure out why.

    I’m just a regular guy (not a developer), and I can’t wait to get this on my 3GS in June or July.

    …even though I’ll probably be getting a next-generation iPhone just a bit later!!!

    I hate how you have to be a registered apple dev to use the restore image for iPhone OS 4.0

      Its a beta for developers to get their apps ready for the new firmware so when it comes out consumers like you and me can use it as soon as it comes out. Its too buggy for the general consumer.

    Blackberry OS 6 will be amazing, however only a few Blackberry phones will work with it…which is good IMO I have both iPhone and Storm 2 so I like the S2 better

      Ugly Browser? haha It’s not a toy :) I use Bolt Browser, but we do have tabbed browsing

        ugly…lacking function…compared to a nokia phones browser…it looks like a beta. I got rid of my storm, 8900, and 9700 and just settled for jailbroken 3gs…only thing i miss is flash…definitly not having 2 uses opera as my only choice for a decent browser.
