New pics of the Motorola RAZR3 emerge

Exclusive

moto-razr3-4

We’re sure by now you’ve all seen the video overview of the Motorola RAZR3, so instead of running with that we thought we’d do our part by sharing some previously unseen photos of the now defunct handset. There’s really nothing for us to say about the flip phone that packs a 5 megapixel camera, GPS, Wi-Fi, 3G and Symbian UIQ, but it’s always neat to see what might have been, right? Hit the jump for some more pics!

Thanks, Travis!

Might just be me but is everyone missing the obvious thing here REALLY different about this phone? Peep the forward facing camera when the flip is open…

  • Cold Dead Fingers

    They’re……………making………another ravr?

  • TRV$

The only thing that excites me about this post is that it’s filed under Microsoft.

Seriously though, there are still people craving a razr phone. Unfortunately, they all seem to be averse to technological improvements. When selling the razr2 people (not all, but enough to warrant this post) would complain about the outer screen being too big and unnecessary.

If you see a keypad AND a touchscreen they blew it

too bad. i always liked this phone no matter how ancient it seems now. i seen two pics of this phone some few years ago (poor gramar = weed in system) and was bummed when it never came out. They should still release it to disocund…diso…discount carriers. Id get it for like 50 fido dollars. As a basic phone, it’s still good. plus it looks pimpin…can’t go wrong. Ya i know i added no value in this post but i wanted someone to waste their time reading my crap…sucka!!! lol ;)

      You are hilarious.

hi, im a dead horse……..please beat me

  • greg

japan is all flip phones but not ugly ones like the ones we have stateside!

    • RunJDHP

What, those Japanese flip phones are ugly as the day is long my friend. I dont know why people think japan is that far ahead of us in cellphone technology when they arent. They just have different feature sets. and those features are more standard across the board, i give them that. but they look crazy to me.

I actually pefer their designs over the standard phones like iphone, n1, etc, Im not to big of a fan of the slab design or qwertys. But I do like the long and narrow look over the wide designs. Its some of the asthetics I just like.

But would be nice to have a 3.0+in flip phone with android on it.

ill get one for my girlfriend she likes this phone

  • PhonexAddict

Phone doesnt look bad per say as a basic flip. But really do we need another RAZR lol. I know its all in the name since Moto knows it will draw attention because of the past. But really, people need to learn how to jump into the 21st century and learn a new device. The days of flip phones should be OVER!!!

    • RunJDHP

should be, but some people dont want a phone with too many features that they have no intention of using. (old people) My guess is they will either conform or die off. eventually. LOL

  • TypicalAppleHatingDBAG

    finally an iphone killer

  • The Drizzle

    Pretty sweet 10 key phone

  • DaJe’ J. BarbouR

    Didnt they cancel this phone.?

  • tears

Oh, come on, the phone isn’t bad at all like what you guys are suggesting. It has GPS, a big internal and external screen, FM radio, and wi-fi, and it runs a smartphone OS. It’s a great phone but it be a lot better if this phone was launched back in say 2008 or so. In a way its still relevant since only 25-30% of the cell phone population use smartphones.

  • Kirk

If this phone had the Hemroid OS you all would be licking BGR’s taint right now.

  • DuDe254

I for one am happy to see this. I just hope the build quality on this is as good as the previous versions. My wifes old razr went through the washer, sink full of water, multiple drops and just kept working.

working in the industry this would be a great phone to sell. The older generation have used flip phones for as long as they have had a cell phone and dont want anything different, and to be honest there arent many quality flip phones out there. If they do it right this will be a great low end feature phone and should sell well. If they screw up the build quality then its just another crappy flip phone and wont last.

This is the perfect companion to my iPad

Funny thing is that when when closed, it looks like that BlackBerry 9760 flip phone that leaked. Guess we know where RIM gets its hardware ideas.

    • DaJe’ J. BarbouR

      RIM is owned by Motorola

    That Ugly motorola?! I don’t like….

  • Doug

Just think. One of these days you will all be old and your fingers won’t work so well as well as your brain. And the way i see it now days, the brain will probably go first because you can’t learn much from texting all the time. You need personal contact and to look up once in a while to see whats going on around you.

    • Rod

When did my grandfather get a computer?

      • RunJDHP

        @Rod. LOL good one.

  • mi_canuck

this would actually be a pretty slick phone for those that don’t want/need a smartphone… pretty full featured… gps, wifi, 5mp main cam, dual cams for vid calling… Symbian… pretty amazing all considering… might even appeal to some japanese who just love their “Keiteis”

  • Bob GRZR

Whats the point of this phone? its got like 3 buttons and a 2 inch screen thats not a touch screen. ooooooooooo a 5 mp camera how big is the memory you can probably take 4 pictures. might as well just use it to call your bowling buddies. or just use the shininess to attract dumb people to be your friend.

  • Old Guy

I think the guy on the Geico commercial is using this phone!

  • http://www.chinaqualitydirect.com Wholesale

or just use the shininess to attract dumb people to be your friend.

  • Bob GRZR

the only thing the GPS does on this phone is tell you where you took your 4 pictures
