Looking forward to seeing more information on 6.0 and some hands on with the browser. Hopefully there will be a version for my Bold 9000.

      6.0 will need 512mb ram.

Serious Question : As a Storm user, why should I stay with BlackBerry? Can you please ask them that while you’re out there? Is there anything on the horizon that will stand up to the specs of the Droid Incredible? I love my phone but it is slow compared to the newer phones available from other manufacturers.

The storm was the worst Blackberry ever created. Its a Phone with one large button, the screen

      • RobinM

I had one… it was awful

  • Johnk

Sorry Blackberry.. was loyal for years until I switched to a Droid. . You guys better step up the game!

Ask them if they think they deserve the crown of email when you can’t have multiple email accounts that have IMAP sub-folders even if you pay for exchange hosting & BES service from your wireless provider.

If Blackberry is looking to compete in this competitive smart phone market and still want to maintain a slice of the consumer crowd, they need to announce some serious changes. Not just make a remix of the early 2000’s pearl (they really looked like they just added a track pad to the damn thing). How about more ram, a snapdragon processor, higher resolution camera, a more robust app store, and an updated user interface (just to name a few). Don’t get me wrong I like RIM as a business device and when it comes to email there is nothing better out there, but after 2 years of using the Storm (one and two) it’s time for RIM to step there game up; Android, Apple, and even now Windows Mobile (KIN) are killing you!!! Shoot, for real for real, I had to add a second line to get a smart phone to do what I wanted it to do (Motorola Droid… come Thursday a HTC DROID Incredible) …

Memo : The sales seem to tell an entirely different story…. RIM is #1. nuff respec.
The vast majority of people work all day and then go home. They can access the internet at both places on a proper screen, for free.
What most people NEED from their phone is to call and e-mail/message. RIM is the best and/or most established at that. Also easy to use.
The other stuff is secondary and for many, a pain in the butt if they have to figure out how to use it.
Check the demographics of the USA – boomers are a big-ass market & they are just getting into blackberries. OS6 is going to do great.

      • Barack Obama.

    Pipe down.

    RIM job FTW !!!!!

  • bullyboy

I love rim. the bb is the most addictive device. I have tried all the phones, iPhone, android, Sony ericson none comes close when it comes to functionality and getting the job done.

Hahahahahaha – another thing that’s trying to copy Apple. Another loser.

    • WhyNoLikeyMe

Not that what you say is any different than the next troll, but I have to point out the complete non-sense your post makes. Who the heck are you replying to and to WHAT?

      • BizGuy

“ron” is just Steve Jobs — dropping the Apple name randomly across the Internet . . . claiming superiority in innovation.

  • Off Topic!

So BGR in my neck of the woods? If you all want to get some real good entertainment, I would recommend you use your GPS and travel through a portion of Central Florida known as Pine Hills. Preferrably at midnight. Make sure you have all your gadgets out and prominently on display.

Mickey Mouse and Sea World… and Caylee Anthony. And the retirees are in Boca and West Palm, not Orlando. You all watch too much TV.

Since you’re here, check some signal strength/reliability on Sprint and tell us what you find.

  • gwa

speaking of sprint… try and find out if the pearl 9100 is coming in cdma or just gsm!

I cant help but think there’s a real live Michael Scott roaming around the confention center in Orlando, scoring tons of “SWAG” and telling obscure RIM employees that they are huge fans of theirs…

BlackBerry’s OS may be plain and old, but it’s a work machine. Nobody delivers email as well and the battery life is second to none. I agree that OS’s like Andriod and webOS blow away BlackBerry, but that’s not BlackBerry’s M.O. It’s all about getting work done. Andriod and the others are great……but they are more about playing around, social networking and constant charging of the dead battery.

    • Mik

I just don’t see it anymore, I have 6 email accounts, One is an encrypted exchange an 2 are imaps an rest are pops. Never suffered a delivery fail, or delay and have remote wipe ability included.
(No BIS or BES BS needed)

Not to mention, it does too much more to bother to mention. Only thing BB has over anyone anymore is BB Pin messaging(.)

Oh, and a guarantee that next years model, will be just slightly changed from this years, no more, no less, the same.

  • Bugs

    @ Mik
I agree that Android and the others are way more interesting devices packed with a hell of alot more features, but in my experience it’s the battery life that drives me nuts on non BlackBerry handsets.

I have to set the email to update only once an hour to achieve any sort of decent battery life on Androids. This drives me nuts. I want my email immediatley without having to “refresh” every 15 minutes otherwise my battery goes dead half way thru the day.

This my only gripe about Android and why I stick with my BB.

  • Mik

    @Bugs
    Makes sense…
Just their main advantages are slowly being eaten away by the competition, and these distinctions are becoming the norm for others these days.
(Its what stopped me from a BB for my last purchase)

Buy a second battery, and LIVE LARGE lol

Kidding, I know thats not always an answer too.

  • 9700

Personally, I like Blackberry. Yes, its OS is boring and plain. I agree with that. But it gets the job DONE. In my work i receive a lot of emails/texts/calls per day.. and my battery is still more than half way full. I think that all that iPhone and Android OS are for fun and some work. If you want to play games and download apps you can color with your finger than iPhone and Android is what you want and need. But for me, Blackberry delivers. Just my point of view and opinions.

  • http://www.twitter.com/jazzyl jazzyl

@BizGuy lol but thats true RIM rules period…..

    Sent via BlackBerry.

  • sam kniffen

hate all you like, but Blackberry works! I had been starting to doubt them and decided to try an android, you know.. get with the times. Horrible idea, sure the toys and apps are fun and the touchscreen is fun, but give me a solid blackberry bold anyday. Typing on a touchscreen just isn’t meant to work fast, swype or no swype, and battery, omg don’t get me started… Yes blackberry is boring, but boy is it solid.
