Rumor

It looks like the BlackBerry Pearl 9100 will be more expensive than anticipated when it launches with Bell and Rogers, as a leaked screenshot from a Canadian big box retailer has the phone listed at $79.99 with a 3-year voice and data contract. It was initially believed the it was believed that the 9100 would be priced at $49.99 on contract owing to its $449.99 off-contract price. The Pearl 9100 has yet to be announced by RIM or any of its carrier partners, but Rogers Wireless dealerships have already started receiving display units. TELUS will be picking up the 9100, although at this point its pricing remains a mystery.

      The world is round.

The sun travels around the world.

Therefore it is not always the same time of day in all parts of the world.

Do deal with this something called “Time Zones” were invented.

T-Mobile US is getting this too…. can’t share the pic from Streamline yet and the price just says: $9999999999

It only says “black,” so far but in my experience colors have been subject to change and TMUS is known to carry this version in multiple colors.

Sounds sweet!!! My Rogers contract is up right away and I’m not going to pay $1000000000.00 for an iphone when I can get this one, install the sweet new 6.0 blackberry os and show the iDroid crew hanging out at local 7-11′s and high schools near you what a real phone looks like. hehehehehehe

The Pearl was my very first smartphone. From there I went to a Curve and now an iPhone. It it’s day when introduced (2006) Pearl was a breakthrough phone. Today, I don’t see the point in it. Tiny screen, no true full Qwerty or touchscreen, horrible blackberry web browser, and antiquated OS. The market has grown far beyond the Pearl in 2010.

    3 year contract?

I am going to curb my complaints over carrier enforced 2 year contracts if 3 year is the norm in other parts of the world.
