Dummies of the white Bold 9700 and Pearl 9100 hitting Rogers shops (Updated)

Rumor

rogers-bb-dummies-edit

It certainly can not be long now, folks. HowardForums staple and Rogers dealer “Treatz” has taken delivery of dummy models of the BlackBerry Bold 9700 in white and Pearl 9100 in red. No word yet on when Rogers (or any other carrier, for that matter) plan on launching the pair, but with WES kicking off in just 5 days — yes, the BGR crew will once again be in attendance — we’re dead confident that we’ll be able to nail down a release date. But for now we’re keen on knowing what you guys think of the two. The general consensus here at BGR is that white 9700 is hot as hell. The red 9100? Not so much. Hit the jump for one more pic.

UPDATE: One of our Rogers connects sent us in two additional shots of the BlackBerry 9100. You know where to find ‘em…

Thanks, Treatz!

I am a blackberry guy. on my 4th. but this madness has got to stop. RIm . Please make just one blackberry model that can compete with 2010 technology. please. I will take it in purple with polkadots if it can do 75 percent of what a HD2 or Dell phone can.

  • MacMan

Well the hd2 is laggy and freezes up and so does the BB.

anyone care about the is old os anymore? dated hardware same reused hardware over over over again..yea great

  • Mattystyle

Haven’t you seen me I’m literally the most awesome person I have ever been around!!!

I’ve been using the Nokia e71 for a few weeks now, I must admit, I am blown away by it! I had a demo model of the e 72, and is a big step up from the e71. What I am getting at here is; RIM is looking reeeeeeaaaaaaly dated as they continue to re-issue the same tire and dated OS on “shiny new” hardware. For business, e series handsets and Nokia messaging (IM, push email, chat) is the solution, especially if you do not wish to invest in additional BB hardware/software requirements. Just sayin… Better choices are out there people.

Agree in general on the hardware side, but Nokia is certainly not able to brag when it comes to dated operating systems.

I say this as a happy owner of a Nokia E55 as my everyday phone (and an old Curve 8310, FWIW) , but S60^3 is very meh for anything but messaging/exchange, camera and calling. For those that love the Pearl form factor, take a look at the E55. Thinnest smartphone out there.

    i love the red pearl!

the black trackpad just looks awkward on the white device.
