Images of 4th generation iPhone emerge?

Blog iClarified has posted several images of what a tipster is claiming to be the exterior casing for the fourth generation iPhone. The pictures are a little suspect for several reasons: an all aluminum, unibody enclosure would probably hinder the effectiveness of a Wi-Fi or cellular radio (insert iPhone reception joke here), the Apple logo does not appear to be proportioned properly as compared to the size of the body, the text on the back of the phone is not positioned low enough as compared to previous models… and other things like Photoshop CS4 metadata in the pictures. We suppose the aluminum enclosure/cellular radio issue could be moot, as the iPad uses the Apple logo as the radio signal exit point… however, most of us have heard about the issues the iPad is having with its Wi-Fi radio. Real or fake, with the release of the Incredible, EVO, and iPhone 4G all looming, it is going to be a great summer for high-end cell phone lovers. What do you guys think?     The noise is fake. The image was rendered in some 3d software and then the noise was digitally added in Photoshop to give the low-light effect.

    This looks exactly like the titanium casing made by that engineer for his own iPhone. It was covered by Engadget Mobile and Im pretty sure BGR a couple months ago. I would assume the photoshop metadata is for the text and Apple logo since the guy mentioned had no logo or text.

      No, it doesn’t look exactly like the titanium job, it’s slightly different, a bit more iPad-esque.

      If this is a fake, it a damn fine job. I’d love to see another aluminum iPhone, considering Apple’s budget models are plastic, while the higher-end stuff is aluminum. The iPhone ain’t no budget model.

    This is definately fake. There is no way a cell phone can be all metal with antenna sticking out…no way for the cellular signal to reach the antenna. That is why the first iphone had the black plastic at the bottom.

        After closer inspection in Photoshop, the second image is clearly a fake. The text is skewed at a wrong angle (much easier to see in negative).

        Oh well….

    made his own case from titanium for his iphone. It looked just like this piece. You fools need to get some jobs and stop smoking.

    fake… text is scewed and not even in the second picture. it also looks strikingly similar to that custom titanium backing created by that once dude for a 3GS a couple months ago.
