anyone know anything about enabling for rhapsody-to-go service? so far all i’ve seen that has mobile access for rhapsody is the htc imagio, and i’d rather be with google/android OS than windows mobile.

    • Richard

hey. I actually work for Rhapsody and I’m almost positive it works on ALL Android devices.

    • Lance

there is a beta widget for the droid line of phones that allow rhapsody usage, It was the deciding factor for purchasing the phone. Rhapsody also is listing the droid line of phones as one that it works on and mentions the widget.

  • BB to HTC

Definitely am switching from BB. But there are some BB features I really like: “Password Keeper” – for multiple PW’s – saved my butt. Is there some kind of secure PW storage? What about an easy screen lock?
How about multi-tasking? The BB: no multi-tasking and so s-l-o-w – Glad to be done with it SOON. Even if all the answers were no – think I’d go for the Incredible anyway

You won’t be dissappointed. I moved from a BB to the Eris and had the same concern about Password Keeper. There are apps that will do the same, I use Keeper by callpod. Multi tasking not a problem on my Eris which is no where near the phone that the incredible is. You will especially love the web browsing over the BB. I hated surfing the web on my BB to that point that I just didn’t use it. I love surfing the web now with my Eris.

The best password manager I have found and use on a daily basis is SplashID by SplashData. It offers 256 bit Blowfish encryption. This software flat out rocks. I got the SplashWallet pack for my Palm Treo. They only have ID for Android, so far. Worth the wait.

There are third party apps available to securely store (and encrypt) passwords. Some will even sync with your PC when connected via USB.

Just to clarify for some people, the phone comes with 8gb of internal memory and supports up to a 16gb mem card. Me personally, I. Think the feats of this device are awesome, however I ‘m not to sure of HTC’s phone quality for voice. Compared to my Droid, the reception on the Droid is superior. This scares me.

The specs say 8GB internal memory but then go on to say: 512MB RAM, 512MB ROM. So which one is correct?

I have the Nexus and the RAM filled up after installing just a few programs so I was really looking forward to having 8GB.

    • AG

      @Hussain
All of the above is correct.
RAM is where programs are loaded to execute.
ROM is where your device build is stored; in this case Andriod and stuff that goes with it.
Internal memory is the write able flash where you can store your stuff. Kinda like hard disk in your computer.

THIS PHONE HAS EVERYTHING I EVER WANTED IN A SMART PHONE. THERE HOWEVER ,ONE FEATURE I NEED TO FINALIZE MY WAT TO PURCHASE…..THAT IS THE PHONE CAN BE LOCKED AND UNLOCKED WITH MY OWN PERSONAL PASSCODE AND WHEN I PUT THE PHONE DOWN A FEW MINUTES LATER IT LOCKS ITSELF, PLEASWE TELL ME THIS IS CAPABLE IN THE HTC INCREDIBLE.
