T-Mobile offering discounted HD2s to those who jilt their iPhone

T-Mobile is tapping into the popularity of the HTC HD2 with the creation of a trade-in program which allows iPhone owners to turn in their hardware in exchange for a credit ranging from $100 to $350 to be used towards the newly released smartphone. Available only by phone, at non-corporate dealers and through the usual business channels, the only conditions are that the iPhone being traded in must be in full working condition. Not a bad deal at all considering anyone taking up the offer doesn’t even need to sign up for a service contract. Now if only T-Mobile was able to keep these things in stock until the promotion ends on May 19th.

Think Tmo would let me trade in a water damaged 3g?

The HD2 is an amazing phone, and so is the iPhone. I use the HD2 as my everyday phone. I like my iPhone when I’m in the shitter so I can play with apps, or when my girlfriend gives me a headache, I just put it in her hands so she can play, and that makes her shut up. The thing that I find most annoying about the iPhone are the notifications, which are way too intrusive.

Seriously – thank God people don’t do all the research and just follow the pack or advertising because my brand new Palm Pre Plus blows these products away and has by far the best OS ever designed to this point. The future is here! I hope VZW never gets the iPhone because the network is the best right now and would only suffer I’m afraid. I love owning (for $49.99 I might add) the little monster that nobody has heard of and I love having an absolutely FREE hotspot (best practical feature ever) that makes my plan pay for itself and works practically everywhere. Too funny – I have the best for once :)

Awesome 6-7 months would be cool considering how far ahead it is right now….somehow they’ll survive or at the least the OS will be bought out and still supported…….

Timmy, i too have a palm pre. And i too loved it at first, but apparently you have never held an iphone or any other smart phone for that matter. I have a pre and i cannot wait until my contract is it.

The multitasking is the greatest thing about this phone, and the ONLY thing good about this phone. It’s response time is horrble, it lags all the time, the touch screen even lags. I shouldnt have to press a button on the screen and then the screen recognize it 2 seconds later. Its cheaply built, the phone tec told me my power button didnt jam, they just arent built that strong n they break all the time. The amount of apps available for it compared to other smart phones is laughable.

I will switch to an iphone or even a mytouch the moment my contract clears. Trust me, go touch another smart phone n watch the interface feel like a brand new computer runnign with 4more gb of ram than your old piece of crap.
