"It's time to share" Microsoft hosting event April 12th

Microsoft Logo SmallOh, it is a lovely time of year isn’t it? The flowers are a bloomin’, the birds are a singin’, and the phone OS’ are a developin’. Today, Microsoft sent out an announcement for an April 12th media event with the simple tag-line: “It’s time to share.” Media outlets suspect the disclosure of the project “Pink” Microsoft has been working on, but we’ll just have to wait and see.  Apple on the 8th, Microsoft the 12th. Life’s good.

Let CrApple palay their little games and then it’s time for the real player to step up to the plate.

Once Microsoft weighs in, all others stand back to avoid the glare.

Yeah it will be interesting to see what crap they give us next. Vista 2.0?

      • EraserXIV

Yeah it’s called Windows 7 and it has nearly double the market share as OS X and has not even been out half a year. Try again.

How is Apple going to “rule them all” when you can’t do anything productive with an iPhone? There’s a reason why no one over the age of 24 has one. Once you put the big boy pants on and get a job, they’re pretty useless.

      • noReally

I can tell by your reply you do not yet wear big boy pants or have a ‘real’ job. My iphone works just fine with my corporate email and calendar, not to mention the fact that I can open any attachment that is sent out with emails.

    Office Lite for iPad.

  • IHadEnough

MOFO, you’re a D bag, only scum use apple products

Apple on the 8th, MS on the 12th and Verizon on the…….oh wait. That’s right. They want other carriers and technology to go first.

    • ChocoTaco

Apple and Microsoft make operating systems for phones. Verizon Wireless sells service for handsets. How is that a valid comparison? Or is your sink on the fritz because you put bad gas in your car?

Its wierd that someone would name themselves Mofo and end a comment with “suck it mofos”. So that comment was directed to yourself? hmmm…

  • MikeD

Don’t you just love competition. :-)

Yeah its a me too. Yeah Apple started this trend. but heck i love the fact that a lot of these companies are getting their asses in gear.

Its a good time to be a consumer of technology, geek or newbie alike.

I’m guessing this will be some sort of huge torrent-tracking site, like MSN Pirate Bay or the like.

  • JMR

So are they actually going to reveal something new this time? Because at CES all they did was talk about the xbox and introduce an HP tablet computer = depressing.

    • AT&T_CSR

      • Semi Constructive Criticism

April 12 is the scheduled release date for visual studios 2010. maybe this announcement has something to do with vs2010 and the TEAM system. and perhaps sharepoint.

MS will announce something so mediocre, we will be left wondering why they bothered to have an event at all. They really should concentrate on getting all their ducks in a row before they start making announcements and then having to reverse them eg. removing the “series” from the Windows Phone 7 name.

Maybe they should stick to windows, that will give them more time to fix all the vulnerabilities.

    • sal

Yea since your are an apple fanboy why don’t you tell apple to but adobe flash on their so called revolutionary garbage that they are selling for $699+tax. I think they should built a device that supports real internet websites not mediocre websites.

    • Semi Constructive Criticism

OS X is just as vulnerable as Windows but seeing as only 10 % of people use OS X why would hackers waste time attacking it? you should do some research before you make comments that make you look bad

      • sal

Your right about that. No body wants to waste their time with OS X. In addition, microsoft owns the whole industry in terms of pc sales, OS, Internet browsers and soon they will control a good portion of the mobile industry. They got the money and resources so they should not have a problem with that.

      • FreeRange

Another clueless wonk who has no idea what they are talking about…

  • Soz

    ADOBE too on 12

  • FreeRange

Who cares what MSFT is about to announce, other than the techtards…. MSFT will continue to sink in the mobile market. They have screwed their customers for far too long and now that people have figured out that there are soooooo many better options out there, MSFT will continue to fall.
