iPhone 4G's display leaked on video?

Rumor

iphone-display-leak

While everyone is busy crushing over the iPad, a video posted today to YouTube that features what is said to be the display for the next-gen iPhone. The spitting image of the display assembly we saw in an earlier leak, we’re starting to really warm up to the idea that this one-piece display assembly with a screen of roughly 3.7″ is indeed the real deal. Check out the video after the jump and give us your thoughts.

    @Catdogchicken,

Honestly that’s what I’m trying to say! The iPhone is 3 years old and it’s still very successful! Even where the hardware specs surpass that of the iPhones the user experience can’t. Although Apple is great at marketing I think the product speaks for itself. I mean I see devices such as the Nexus One or the HTC EVO and I’m blown away by their capabilities, but at the end of the day Its just not an iPhone. Numbers don’t lie people love their iPhones! I brought mine home and my wife had to have one, my mom after that, then my wifes sister, then her mother, etc. you get the point. It’s just that good!

What experience is that? My wife has one – she likes my Nexus One better. My best friend had one – for a week. He went back to a Blackberry. The iphone is a damn good phone, but it’s not going to be the only good game in town anymore. Get used to the idea.

I hear a lot of talk about how Apple is screwing their fans out of $300 every time they come out with a new phone. My year and a half old iPhone 3G sold for $300 on Craigslist and I purchased a 3GS with $100 to spare. Granted I had to resign a contract but with my data speeds having doubled over the past year I have no problem doing so!

I’m really excited! I hope it does have a front facing camera just to shut the haters up.

Well, this is why Apple is gonna get busted in the next couple of years by Android, keeps shelling the same phone since 3 years ago.

I have my doubts about this display, i think Apple should redesign the phone and i think they did. Mobile industry is different from other markets, a phone you hold it in your hand all day, is much more personal. At the end of the day, when Android gets equal to apps (next couple of years) and user interface (well, with Sense its today), the form factor will be the deciding factor and Android has the edge there.

Kinda skeptical. The screen size looks roughly the same, so I’m guessing their both 3.5 in. And that little hole on the top could be for an LED light for all we know. I’m not sure if this is legit, so I’ll reserve judgement until the iPhone 4thGen is released.

I agree it might be from a knockoff. Also, the video is a great way to increase views to his video AND his Business. Nothing wrong with that but I think its a well timed coincidence.

They need to stop calling it 4g.. the sheeple are gonna think it’s an actual 4g device… when it’s really the just the 4th iteration

  • Josh

Fake, why doesnt it have the home button attached to the digitizer? I doubt Apple is going to go to a model that has a free floating button on the inside. Also that screen/conncetors look questionable.

click my name i love u.

  • Apple of my eye.

Dear god it looks the same. Seriously iPhone is languishing in the past now. Bye Apple, hello Google!

I think the screen looks too small to be usable with a 960 x 480 resolution as the rumors say… maybe a lower ppi would be more realistic (and cheaper).

I can tell you right now, its defiantly a real piece of hardware, but its a fake. Apple would never allow the proximity sensor or ambient light detector to be visible.

Hey all. Its the real deal! BGR, want a scoop. Call me Tomorrow. Go to Smartphonemedic.com get the phone # and call, ask for Robby (my partner has the phone this week, but I’m usually close by) and I’ll snap some detailed photos and send them your way. The email address I send it to must be the BGR email address. You guys were the first to break the story so you get the first detailed pics.

      **yawn**

      “real deal!!!”
      “exclusive!!!!!”
“my partner has the phone this week…”

Yeah. Some barely known vendor has the world’s only public unit of the upcoming iPhone.

Here, let me rephrase what you meant to say….

“Hey BGR!! I’m going to use you guys to shamelessly build hype and draw attention to my business so I can make money off of people being suckers!”

      Everyone understand that better?
