Rumored Samsung tablet to feature Android, 4G connectivity?

Rumor

samsung_logo

A newly circulating rumor potentially sheds new light on that Samsung tablet which was outed earlier this week by Emmanuele Silanesu, National Product and Marketing Manager for Samsung Australia’s IT division. Despite the insinuation by Silanesu that the device will feature an Intel Atom chip with some flavor of Windows on board, this latest rumor turns that whole scenario upside down by claiming the device will be powered by Android. Details are sketchy but the tablet could feature calling via a headset presumably using some implementation of VoIP, 3G and possibly even 4G connectivity, and an ARM-based architecture under the hood. We have a good six months to elucidate all the details on this slate device but this latest rumor paints a picture of a device which is much more desirable than a re-hashed Q1. Cross fingers and hope that this latest rumor is the one that rises to the top when all the wheat is separated from the chaff.

Would also be nice if it turns out looking like their tvs. Piano black with red touch of color….That would be sexy.

I love Android on my phone, but I don’t think I’d really care for it on a tablet.

I like that apple has brought the idea of the tablet into the mainstream but I’m not convinced that their singular device model will win here.

I think when other companies bring out tablets there going to be so much better than the ipad.

Let’s face it a tablet is easier to make than a phone (tap into any existing 3G providers or wifi) no need for phone networks etc. So many more companies will start shipping top notch tablets.

If samsung do it with, as someone said earlier, piano black, HD screen, bulit in freeview? Like their TVs…. I’d buy.

I’d keep my iPhone as my phone.

As long as they don’t put their POS touchwiz UI on it, I’m on board. The Behold II is a perfect example of a great hardware and software combo severely crippled by touchwiz.
