HTC Desire to come in silver as well

General

HTC-Desire-silver-Android

The HTC Desire is one sexy handset, but let’s face facts here: the “Urban Brown” shade it comes in isn’t for everyone. Thankfully, HTC isn’t blind to reality like a few other handset manufacturers whose names we won’t mention here, because it looks as if the Taiwanese company also whipped up a silver variant of the latest darling of the Android world. Why does this matter, you may ask? Because this could very well be the color AT&T goes with when it unleashes this sucker on the US market. We think it looks pretty and know that Tony Soprano would approve of it because it truly is “Guinea grey” like Johnny Sack’s Maserati, but we’d like to know which one you fancy most. Hit up the jump to check out another shot.

Thanks, Pat!

Silver makes me look smarter, but a little gay too

    • Tig

It’s not the silver that makes you look gay.

I am pretty sure Apple will really come out swinging this year with the new iPhone, it’s gotta have a cstomized home screen and multitasking. plus lots of more features.

    • lRicky

Great comment! Too bad this post isn’t about the iphone.

  • Sliznut

@Ken: They already are. They’re suing everyone. lol

Does anyone know if this phone is going to be limited to just AT&T? Or will it also be released on TMo and/or VZW? I wanted the N1 with Sense, so the Desire is the perfect choice, but I’m hesitant to switch to AT&T’s network…

    • Paffaroni’s other opinion

If you want to drop call switch to att’s network. I dont see why anyone wouldnt want to drop calls. sounds fun!

naw man just check with people. I love att in my area I have great service. Pople bash att all the time but I love the service in my area.

Don’t go to At&t, have you seen their map? Ours is so much better, its really kind of crazy they are still in business.

      • jawman

we get it dude. it was funny but really not funny anymore. so you can stop spamming with the same comments and start saying something intelligent and productive.

      • lRicky

Not even counting maps, AT&T has just horrific voice quality. Trust me, I know since I had the iphone 3g for a year

dude he’s being sarcastic…hence his name is TypicalVerizonDBAG. but he is a tool because it is extremely overdone and not funny anymore. his comments have just turned into spam and trolling, and it’s getting very annoying as they flood the comments.

  • duh

Where’s the all black version? Is this also coming to T-Mo?

  • http://(null) Jordan Brown

I hope they release it in both because I really like the Brown. HTC does some cool stuff with their handsets, people hate the Hero/Legend chin but i love that too.

what was so disliked about my comments???

  • Ken

savvyray nice comment, too many haters of AT&T, Verizon hates thae fact that the iPhone is only with AT&T and i think the HTC Desire is the only phone that will compete with the iPhone, but i think we will be in for a huge surprise when the new iPhone is annouced.

Anyone else prefer the looks of the Desire over the Nexus One? For one, trackballs are so 2008. That optical trackpad is what I want. I’ll take a trackball over a D-pad or nothing any day though. And I prefer the buttons on the Desire. Real buttons beat those touch sensitive ones on the N1. Plus Sense UI out of the box is important yo those who don’t want to Root and want to keep their warranty. The only thing that the N1 has is it will get the OS updates from Google before other Androids will.

Now THIS is what AT&T needs to up with the Android bandwagon. Absolutely gorgeous design. I personally prefer the darker gray but it’ll go unnoticed underneath a slim skin case. Really crossing my fingers on this phone.

  • Ken

i think i like the whatever color my case is. isn’t that the case usually :)

if its silver.. then itll most likely be on at&t .. i have the nokia e71x and i HATE it.. im waitin on the desire tho.. i have to have it … itll be the best android on at&t

don’t get the silver one… the paint job is awful. After nearly 2 weeks it already has marks on it and it get’s black on the corners. Don’t think, just do it and you will thank me later.
