Logitech unveils the new Harmony 600 and Harmony 650 remotes

High tech couch potatoes take note as Logitech has added two new Harmony remotes to its already robust remote lineup. The latest additions offer one click activity buttons and have enough functionality to replace five individual remotes. The Harmony 600 is an entry level model and features a black & white screen with support for device commands. The Harmony 650 offers a color screen, has icons for your favorite channels, and supports device commands. You might be familiar with Logitech’s lineup, but here is the kicker: The Logitech Harmony 600 will retail for a mere $79.99 while the Harmony 650 comes in at a slightly higher, but still affordable $99.99. Both remotes are expected to touch down in the US and Europe in late March.

    that’s the total since bg declared — 17 days ago — that “all of those [spam] comments have been deleted” here: http://www.bgr.com/2010/02/12/google-adds-requested-privacy-features-to-buzz/comment-page-2/#comment-774106 … though each and every one of those spam posts brought to his attention at that time still remain.

    thus making a liar of himself — and a fool of munchbach (yes, munchback, silent support of those who divert traffic away from bgr is being sanctioned here) — who tried in vain to defend the sanctity of how boy genius treats the comments area!

    aren’t the 300 unique visits to bgr per day enough to keep the lights on? we all know the economy is in the tank, but that’s no excuse for insulting our intelligence. is it, genius?

    which are you? part of the problem or part of the solution?

      do you really have this much time on your hands? I feel like this is a personal vendetta now. If you have a problem with the way they are handling spam, why don’t you leave? I don’t see others complaining, only disliking your posts. The only thing you are doing is adding spam. It makes me wonder, though, are you adding in your posts to that total spam post count that you keep spouting off about?

    Good to see Logitech making more reasonable Harmony remotes, but when are they going to add bluetooth to any of their products? My PS3 wants a decent solution and adding an IR box is not it.

    I have an MX 5500 Logitech bluetooth desktop and the range and performance that you get is exactly what I’d want if I were going to buy “one remote to rule them all”.

    These look pretty good remotes to me. I like Logitech stuff.

    I could not see a Windows Media Center green button on these devices, though. The inclusion of which would have been useful.

    When will logitech get it together and release android/mobile-os-x/blackberry software and a small piece of hardware so I can use my phone to control everything. Obviously this is where the world is headed.

    In the meantime, I’m stuck staring at my smartphone, while both reading articles about logitech’s newest remote controls and thinking this thing could make one perfect remote.
