Verizon goes BOGO crazy

Retail

verizon-wireless-logo1

Yesterday we reported Verizon was going to kick off an Android and webOS  BOGO sale today, but we missed a pretty big point — the BOGO sale also includes all BlackBerry and Windows Mobile smartphones as well as Verizon’s entire line-up of 3G multimedia phones and 3G internet devices. Yessir, this is one darn big sale. The question is, do you really need that new phone?

I am desperate to return to Verizon from the AT&T I have been saddled with for years … but they could give away 30 of their lower-end hardware offerings for all it’s gonna matter.

How about just stocking ONE 1GHZ snapdragon phone …. PLEASE?!?!? You don’t even need to BoGo it … just offer ONE in your lineup.

    PLEASE

how desperate does a company has to be to get to the point of allowing a different company to let this happened? I’m sure there is going to be some sort of hidden fee, knowing verizon I wouldn’t be surprised.

Yea I’m totally going tomorrow to get the DROID and one for my fiancee….I currently have the Storm 1 and have been stuck with this crappy phone for the past year so I am definitely going to take advantage of this deal!! Ill be walking out of the store tomorrow with 2 DROIDS for a total of $99, after mail-in-rebates of course, and it will be worth it!!!

Actually Verizon doesn’t make any $$$ from the people that are buying these BOGO PDA’s. They’re giving away a $565 device for $99-$199 then a 2nd one for free. Verizon is giving away $1120 worth of product for $99-$199. They’re not going to be making any money off of these customers for quite some time.

Do you think Verizon pays full retail for handhelds from companies they are in bed with? The same full retail we do?
