Seesmic updated its Android twitter client yesterday and added multiple account support with cross-posting to its list of features. Seesmic also added several smaller user requested features including an extra large font size, auto-correction of typing, automatic profile updates, on device twitter password management and optional timeline position memory so you jump back to the last tweets that you were reading. The latest version of Seesmic is available now for free from the Android Market. Check it out and let us know in the comments how this latest offering compares to Twidroid, Tweetcaster and any other twitter client you may use.

Been using Seesmic for a few weeks now. It is definitely one of the better all around Android apps I’ve seen & use regularly. I don’t have much use for multiple Twitter accts, but there are some really nice refinements (my fave: remembering where you were reading last & starting there on new sessions).

Software version updates? Is this what BGR has devolved into?

Come on guys, I depend on this site to give me the heads up when Verizon finally gets a phone with a 1GHZ Snapdragon processor … none of this version updates stuff.

In other news, maps for the Droid has been updated to multi-touch support. I see it on the other tech blogs. Maybe it’ll be here tomorrow – for now, I’ll have to imagine the lack of uses I have for this app.

Thanks for that heads up. It’s available for download now. And thank you Steve Jobs for your tirade… the flood gates are open.

Used to use Twidroid Pro. Got too big and slow. Seesmic is great, smaller and more responsive. Like the new tweaks, too.

Twidroid Pro is more useful as well as asthetically pleasing.

      Seesmic>Twidroid imo..

Seesmic replaced twidroid a long time ago.

I’ve given it a try and I don’t see a reason to leave Twidroid for it. It isn’t any better or any worse. Actually, it is a slight bit worse….that color scheme is hideous. Otherwise it’s a fine app that’ll serve Android fans well.
