Colorware BlackBerry 9700 strikes again…

CW97-1

Kind of went for an opposite color vibe on this one. Maybe we’ll give it away in a bit, or something… what do you think? Pictures are in the gallery if you’d like to see some more shots. Also, special thanks to Colorware for the hook up!

Big Pimpin’ How do i get one for my Droid?

  • Mark

I replaced the OEM housing with a Glossy Black Housing and my 9700 looks amazing. I also removed the AT&T logo underneath the space bar with a Glossy Black unbranded filler and he phone looks amazing.

    Who needs colorware?

If I had anything with Boy Genius written on it I’d throw it in the garbage…

    • ~phel

so does that mean you just tossed out your computer monitor?

      • mi_canuck

        LOL :)

    Looks Great!
Don’t think Crackberry Kev even has a color ware BB with the CB logo painted on. He might I guess but he hasn’t posted a pic of it.
I would be happy to take that off your hands in a contest and post pics of it all over CB for you!

let me know when your giving that bad boy away *rubs hands*

  • elijahblake

Is that AT&T version? If you want to give it away, then PLEASE pick me!!!

    I’m still rocking a w760 :(

  • B

Definitely think you should give it away. <– This away, not that away.

Im not trying to be insulting, but it literally looks like you painted that on by hand…..i hope that you didn’t pay for that to be done because it looks terrible. The concept is great, the colors are great, but it looks like it was hand done, too shaky…..not a good endorsement for colorware in my opinion.

Kind of minimalist but not bad. I’ll take it.

  • Man_of_God

This would be a great upgrade from my 8310. This may be so 2008, but like Beyoncè said, upgrade me.

Everything looks awesome except the BGR logo on the front…it looks sketchy.

  • Franklin Olaniyan

Simple, yet stunning. I think BGR should have a custom carry case with it then give away a couple. Gorgeous.

  • Newt

Very slick and simplistic for sure. I would have to get some more color put on my 9700 if I were going to pay the money to have it done.

    But very nice looking.

  • Biggie

awesome i want it and need it

  • doughboyy

im a huge fan of the battery cover, looks pretty nice

  • Diabl0

It sure is a swanky looking phone though – got distracted by the looks and forgot about the OS and actually using the damn thing. Too bad…nice keyboard, nice looks, nice size, nice battery life…ya, knew that trend wouldn’t last. Comparisson of BB 9700: http://bit.ly/blackberry-9700-comparisson

      • ~phel

    That is pretty tight!
I just wanted to post a comment about RIM and the 9700:
RIM refuses to address KB20150 out of laziness. The handheld software version v5.0.0.330 is incapable of displaying the Sender name of SMS messages when the Contact has a ‘-’ in the field. In other words, if you use MS Outlook for Contact Mgmt you will not know who is sending you SMS messages unless you A) memorize everyone’s number or B) Go through and delete the Dash from ALL of your contacts. Level 2 support at RIM as of 2/23/2010 still says that the ticket is open and nothing is being done. This software is flawed.
A Dash? For Real? How Long does it take for a programmer to add a ‘-’ to be recognizable in the library? This is pathetic RIM.
I just rolled out this phone to 10 employees and everyone is pissed off…I know there must be more of you out there!! We need to get the carriers (ie TMO) to coerce RIM to start caring about the software they produce! Oh, and will the Wireless Update function is Settings Really work??? That would be nice.
