I just upgraded to a Droid 2 and love it. I was fine with getting a data plan with it because it browses the Internet very well. I was going to give my Env Touch to my wife because it is better than her old phone (LG Glance). They refused to transfer my phone (which is already mine and paid for) without charging her for a Data Plan. Browsing the Web on the Env Touch sucks and she doesn’t even use the Internet anyway. Not sure why it’s Verizon’s business since they’ve already made up their “losses” on the Touch by my having paid for 2 years of service with it. This is a direct result of them getting successfully sued for unethical data charges (they were charging everyone who accidentally hit the Web button on their phone for a full megabyte of data access every month). I don’t know why anyone would think another provider would be any better though. Phone companies are dirty. They have been ever since the first land line was activated. The cellular age will be no different.

Agreed. The stench of greed is starting to stink right through their incessant marketing campaigns.

The only people worried about an ETF are those that plan on breaking their contract or cannot afford the contract they are getting into and want an easy out.
