Sony Ericsson Robyn poses next to an iPhone, shows off its colors

The Sony Ericsson Robyn, aka the X10 Mini, has gone and got photographed getting friendly with an iPhone. From these pictures and others, we know that the Robyn will pack a 5 megapixel camera, 3.5mm headphone jack and a microUSB port into its diminutive frame. Like its bigger brother, the Robyn will run some flavor of the Android OS and may be available in a variety of colors including black, white, pink and lime yellow. Hopefully Sony Ericsson won’t leave us in the dark much longer and will officially unveil this phone at Mobile World Congress next month.     It’s cute. Way too small for me to ever be interested in. I like knowing things like this are out there though. Somebody somewhere will show this lil Android some love.

    OK, so it’s running Android OS which is a positive – probably the only one.

    It looks WAY too much like the Nokia N95 8GB – small (not good when big touch screen are the current fashion) and chunky – pretty much the same qualities you would look for in a brick if you found yourself in a riot (as you do).

    Also, when phones come in mini sizes (i.e. Nokia N97 + mini) it doesn’t say much for the phone that it needs resized in order to be sold.

    Wow, the iPhone looks like a tacky outdated POS after picking up my Nexus One yesterday.

    It’s like seeing those old cars from the 1950s with massive amounts of hideous chrome all over them.
