I see all this happening because it is an Internet Protocol Service, just like the phone card use . $ @ gives you like 200 minutes. Wind is still saving a hell lot than Rogers and Fido on these plans..
I am with Rogers and pay $ 75 everymonth. I am switching on the first day, when the market opens, even if i have to pay the contract cancellation fee..i would still cover that money in ant 1 year..

What about roaming charges when in the United States?

  • Richard Rogers

It’s about time to lower charges, can’t wait for day one I’m on board. As for Telus everytime I call to change my plan for more minutes it don’t happen for another 30 days what a ripe off. Been with Rogers with no diffrence paid the payout same with Bell will pay again to move from Telus. Hurry up Wind get started.

  • Jaime Roxworth

Been with Bell,Telus and Rogers… all 3 are expensive. ‘Bout time we get
a cheaper one. Like Rishi, I am willing to pay the penalty for contract cancellation because I will still save a few bucks in the long run.

anybody near the end of contract or mid of the contract with either Bell, Telus or Rogers-please send me an email and get some tips about getting good plan from them(discounted version)..and make sure you quit these carriers once the contract is expired to show we care for those who care about us…damn them-they raped and ripped us off for so many yrs(we are really behind in teh world in mobile communication because of their monopoly games and lack of investment in proper technology,,

    • Aaron

Only have 2 months left with bell.

      Hi,
my plan with Rogers renewed last year with out my permission. Now my daughter’s plan with Rogers has expired few months ago and is on month to month. Both plans are on one bill on my name. Now she is looking IPhone with best economical plan possible. She is university student, so needs more texts etc.
      what you suggest.

    • Tambar

Hi Victor, on one phone I have 1 year left and on the other one 2 yrs.( 3 yrs. contract) What I can do?

  • Rosie

    Hi

Thanks. I would be interested in getting some tips about getting a good plan from Rogers. I fully intend to quit this carrier once my contract is up.
Thanks again for sharing the info.

    Bless you

This is a good first step!. The only thing that caught my attention was the $0.50 sent sms.
When one stops to think that it costs the carriers less than $0.01 per sms that cost seems a bit ‘generous’.
Having said that, it is a step in the right direction, with luck in another 10 or 15 years Canada might drop to European rates. Fingers crossed !

Thumbs up WIND (and for a rare change CRTC)

  • Geo

About TIME some new carrier teach the GREEDY ones that their hayday is coming to an end. The fees we are currently paying are exorbitant. A new WIND is about to blow. Good luck fellows.

  • Ryan Walters

I wouldn’t rush into Wind until reliability and customer service quality is confirmed.

Also, keep in mind that the big three carriers will likely respond to Wind by changing their price structures – or at least making you a customer retention offer if you threat to switch.

  • Ryan Walters

We also need more clarification on the plans. For example the unlimited province-wide calling (I believe) is only applicable if you’re in a “Wind Home Zone” which is currently Toronto and Calgary.

GO WIND GO!!! I curse on ROGERS.. i curse on them every day.. My goodness, i was to the point when my plan is for 60 dollars a month but my bill is always over $150 a month which ends up wasting my time calling rogers customer service.. its like another stress. One time my bill came upto $1000 dollars.. I curse on rogers.. Two words!!!

    ROGERS SUCK!!!

  • FedupCellUser

The rest of the world has been enjoying things like free incoming calls. It’s about time Canada caught up with the rest of the world with at least some real competition. The Canadian consumer has been raped with high fees for long enough. Screw YOU BELL, TELUS, ROGERS. Hey also as a taxpayer I think these three companies should be charged the real cost of the cell infrastructure the Canadian Taxpayer paid for and still owns.

  • Abe

Contrat with Rogers expired and waiting for this guy start his shop

  • Mrrellim

Yes, it’s cold up here. But all us Canadian guys have 9″ penises, so when you count in shrinkage we are still larger than most Americans.
