Project Dark confirmed to include unlimited plans, FlexPay

Remember what we said about T-Mobile’s Project Dark this morning? Well, as is the typical BGR fashion, our word essentially turned into gold as one of our T-Mobile connects just hit us up with a ton of Project Dark documents. While we’re still waiting on information when it comes to handsets and the rapid expansion of its AWS 3G network, Project Dark does indeed included unlimited services, although things like data and texts look as if they come in the form of add-ons. The Even More and Even More Plus plans we talked about are also real. Even More does require a 2-year contract commitment which allows for handset subsidies, whereas Even More Plus plans does not require a contract and does not include subsidies. However, that’s where the new FlexPay system comes into play, and boy is this going to be big. Customers will be able to walk away with the handset of their dreams and pay for it in monthly installments just like they would for that big leather couch they can’t really afford but really, really want. Goodies are after the jump.

FlexPay is a type of prepaid plan, NOT handset financing.

  • phonefreak

ITS 200 TERMINATION FEE!! NOT ACTIVATION!!!

  • Brady6TDs

that’s exactly what i’m looking for – something similar to the amount of minutes i have now (300) and unlimited data for smartphone, all for 50 bucks…if they can pull that off it would be a game changer…C’MON TMO!

  • aooga

    Really,
    Fired are you kidding.
You should be fired for being a hall monitor.

Branden… yes, T-Mo has always had financing on phones, but I believe it was only three months max. They have a name for it, but forgot what it is.

The new payment plan would be different in that it would be a rumored 20 months, not three.

  • Happy?

I call tmobile about 5pm on SUnday and i got someone to semi-confirm the 25 for the “Even More Minutes” Plan.

T-mobile is one of the worst cell phone companies ever.

Holy cow, your prices are ridiculously high in the us. I pay 19eur (about 30dollars) for unlimitted calling, 1000 text messages and unlimited data (7.2mbps hsdpa)…. On t-mobile austria!

Thanks for cross subsidizing our nice low european cell phone rates!

Wow, constructive comment above me there, their service has been top notch for me and while everyone has their moments with bad Customer Service, T-Mobile has gone back to retaining their number one spot.

My Favs will be gone but grandfathered in to anyone with an existing myfavs plan. There Myfavs plan wont change but with these new price plans, I’m sure most will be moving out of those plans to the new ones.

  • Ktwist

Hahah, exactly! Why the hell would we want to wait! This is what these forums are for, gossip and the latest news on technology. Now back to my Star Wars Saga…

Haha, yeah I work for Tmobile and im glad someone kicked us in the balls! A little dissapointed to see this up but what were they thinking trying to keeps this secret?Personally, your right about the cliq, wish we would have gotten the Moto Droid. Even the new Bold is not that great. I would love for us to get the N900 nokia, that would help us become a game changer. Our new faster internet we rolled out to philly is going to be faster than anyones! I heard its kicking WiMax out of the park! HSPA+ is blazing at 21mps and will be released to everyone next year. Cool thing about is you wont need a special phone to get the faster internet. Check it out here:http://technews.am/conversations/electronista/t_mobile_switches_on_21mbps_3g_in_philadelphia

Sorry Insurance Guy, PHP is not included as usual. You will for sure want to get it if your a customer who puts your phone on a 20 month installment plan. No use paying for a phone your making payments on and lose or break the damn thing. Get the 5.99 insurance!

I have 1 line with unlimited SMS, voice and data for $66/mo with tax and freelancer’s union discount.

    google voice + myfave 300 + data plan only on a G1.

  • diggity1

for those of you who think that the other carriers do not know what TMO is doing are just naive. something that BGR gets leaked to them by employees isn’t going to end the world or ruin TMO. other carriers probably already knew this information before the non disclosure agreements were signed. if anything this leaked info has created buzz and interest in TMO all around the internet.

  • cpimpin

Tmobile cant compare to Sprint at all… They gave me a plan for 69.99 unlimited everything and then discounted it by 25% because i work for UPS… so im paying 53.00 for unlimited everything..touch that TMo

  • psc

but everyone is not working at ups

  • hmmm

really cool share with the your discount…..ups huh?

  • ARefugee

cpimpin… Your post is totally irrelevant to the price of anything and this thread/article.

You should have started your post with “For me T-Mobile can’t compare….”

Unless, of course, the intent of your post was to brag about your worker bee discount. If so, hey… good for you albeit I sympathize for your situation, that $17 a month means a lot to you. Keep your head up, maybe you will win the lottery. :)

Talked to a tmobile rep tonight who said dont even bother getting new service until after the 29th.He said you can keep your old plans if you choose but the new unlimted is even better that the corporate rates tmobile employees get.He unofficially confirmed unlimited plans. His manager backed it up.

T-mobile blows chunks! I have flex pay. It sucks. All flex pay customers customer service needs are put to the bottom of the pile. Can’t wait until my contract ends. This won’t change my opinion of T-mobile AT ALL!!
