There’s not too much to say so we’ll let T-Mobile do the talking…

Dear valued T-Mobile Sidekick customers:

We are thankful for your continued patience as Microsoft/Danger continues to work on preserving platform stability and restoring all services for our Sidekick customers.  We have made significant progress this past weekend, restoring services to virtually every customer.  Microsoft/Danger has teams of experts in place who are working around-the-clock to ensure this stability is maintained.
Regarding those of you who have lost personal content, T-Mobile and Microsoft/Danger continue to do all we can to recover and return any lost information.  Recent efforts indicate the prospects of recovering some lost content may now be possible.  We will continue to keep you updated on this front; we know how important this is to you.

In the event certain customers have experienced a significant and permanent loss of personal content, T-Mobile will be sending these customers a $100 customer appreciation card.  This will be in addition to the free month of data service that already went to Sidekick data customers.  This card can be used towards T-Mobile products and services, or a customer’s T-Mobile bill.  For those who fall into this category, details will be sent out in the next 14 days – there is no action needed on the part of these customers.  We however remain hopeful that for the majority of our customers, personal content can be recovered.

Sidekick customers can continue to visit T-Mobile Sidekick Forums (http://www.t-mobile.com/sidekick) on a regular basis to access the latest updates, as well as FAQs regarding this service disruption.  The Forums also offers tips and suggestions for rebuilding content on your device.

Why are people without sidekick and/or t-mobile customers even on here giving there unvalued opinion on something they have no clue on. I’m a very happy T-Mobile customer who’s phone and service gives them no problems most of the time…Changing phone company’s just to keep up with the latest phone trends is the worst way to spend money I can think of…because quiet as kept my tmobile sidekick works in many different countries…now try that At&t or whoever!!!

So what exactly do people think that a Blackberry or WinMo phone can do that a Sidekick can’t….I get my corporate email….IM with Yahoo and AOL, I listen to my music via my stereo bluetooths when I work out…synced calendar, manage notes and todolists, etc etc…the same thing most consumers do with BB….the keyboard is phenomenal, the screen blows anything away a Blackberry ever thought of doing AND its 3G…..something no blackberry is though 9700 is on the horizion finally!

I am not gonna abaondon Sidekick /Danger yet…lesson learned and they are working to correct mistakes….an outage is nothing new…BB users suffer through like 2 a year…while this is the first I’ve ever endured on Sidekick in the 5 years I have used them…

And what about that $100 card? Do employees who lost data get it too? There has been nothing communicated in Streamline or OneVoice about it?

I don’t know why you people are wasting time banging perspectives mom, it’s perspective that really gives the best head

    Just ask the credit companies

Good Idea T-M! Deal with the problem upfront. This is why many T-M customers are loyal ’cause T-M demonstrates corporate responsibility. This emphasizes the old notion that if you are not number one, you must try harder.

I predict that if Microsoft/Danger does not pick up the tab, there will be a major lawsuit by DT/T-M and subscribers. We’ll see.

In the meantime, keep on textin’

If you don’t have tmobile then why are u wasting a day of networking and progress making on this site??Take a chill Pill. And I backed up my lost info on my computer. Don’t trust any phone companies.

For all you sidekick users, just to let you you need to be calling microsoft and not tmobile because they are the ones who did a update for the server and lost all your data! True fact!

Too bad only SOME customers affected are going to get a giftcard, not ALL, by way of an audit system, which in my opinion, NOT ACCEPTABLE.
