HTC Pure being sold early by some AT&T stores

While it might not be intended to be so, it’s generally an exceptional event if a given phone isn’t sold before its launch date by various carrier outlets. Case in point: the HTC Pure. We know over the past few days some AT&T locations begun receiving stock of the customized Touch Diamond2, but now word is that some of those locations are selling the Pure ahead of what is assumed to be its official release date of Tuesday. Overall, the Pure doesn’t appear to be packed with any surprises other than the disappointingly non-existent 3.5mm headphone jack. As we exclusively told you, the Pure is indeed going for $149.99 on a 2-year after a $100 MIR meaning that a lot of WinMo junkies are going to have a touch decision between the more affordable Pure and the better spec’d Imagio.

Thanks to everyone that sent this in!

heres my review of the pure, it felt cheap like a lg vu, htc did a good job with a the touch and has come along way since my 8125, far as 6.5 goes more of the same Microsoft doesn’t get it people want ease of use this isnt it web browsers was easier to used because of the zoom function along the bottom of the screen but very unresponsive, all in all still a few miles back from the iphone,

seriously……whats the big deal with no 3.5 mm jack? why do manufacturers insist on NOT putting them on phones? i know its a little point, but adapters defeat the purpose. no phone will even compare to an iphone if its missing an easy way to listen to audio. This coming from a VZW omnia user/lover (except for no 3.5mm jack)….

The official launch date is set for today. I have an internal document that has the 4th as the launch date. Now whether or not Microsoft is aware of this I don’t know, but at&t had intentions to launch it today.

@chris – learn to type in English first before you even think about writing another line. Or, at the least, break up your sentences. Lazy ass.

    No 3.5 mm headset included…
Pass! Also, I do not want to deal with mail and rebate.

  • VZW

No 3.5 mm jack, while Verizons does. Verizon also has a larger screen and Mobile TV which many people like. Verizon is getting better and better with each phone.

For everyone that blogs about… “OMG really no 3.5mm headjack!!” Wake the fuck up already!! It’s the 21st century and it’s called A2DP (stereo Bluetooth) now available with EDR!! I use a nokia N97 and listen to my music player almost everyday and I have never used the headphone jack once. And the phone even comes with headphones.

But I guess having wires hanging out everywhere is the new cool thing to do. Just a thought. Thanks for listening.

Seriously, playing with this phone for 10 minutes and you will surely be disappointed. It took me way more than it should to turn on the device and worst of all, the touch screen was as unresponsive as the HTC Fuze.

HTC is becoming overrated at this point in my humble opinion, however I will be first to admit, I have the TMo TP2 and its a damn joy.

I have been using the Motorola S9 HD headphones with my iphone since 3.0 came out.. will never go back to cords again. 3.5mm jack can lick my balls.

    Interesting….

Is is just me or ATT has screwed the design of yet another beautiful HTC phone? Does anyone like this Pure design vs HTC Diamond2? To me, Diamond2 is very classy!

Testing a Pure right now. Here’s my review…it sucks.

Well first all these comments have been given without really being able to try the phone. You guys are posting on the day it came out. Second I have the Pure, yes at first it’s a little confusing (the book sucks and the cd isn’t to usefull) but after learning by using the phone is great. I love how you can read a msg without having to go into that application and you are able to scroll through them all. This phone has great features, feels great, works awsome. It’s alot better than the LG Incite that it replaced. That phone was all messed up. I’ve been refer this phone to all my friends who seem to love it just from scrolling through it. If you want an earjack buy an ipod. Thats what bluetooth is for.

This site is old but it’s one of the first that comes up when reviewing the HTC pure. I don’t have much to say other than that I’ve had mine for 6 months and I hate it. It’s super slow, tons of glitches, and horrible app store. Get an iPhone.
