vzw-25-off

After a week of teasing from various Verizon Wireless employees, VZW has just kicked off a one day-only sale on each and every handset it offers. The special Twitter-sourced sale provides a $25 discount on any handset, be it a BlackBerry Storm, HTC Touch Pro2, Casio Exilim or anything else your heart desires. So how do you get in on the action? Just hit the read link and enter the promo code TWITTER25 if prompted — that’s it! Let us know if you plan on taking advantage of the deal and if so, which handset are you planning to snag?

Note: VZW is reporting that the link below is working for some people but not everyone. If you’re having problems, sit tight — we’ll update with a new link as soon as it’s available.

    I’m not planning on buying any of the current phones… waiting on sholes/tao/droid or palm pre but it says that “It’s not available in my area.” I’m in Philadelphia.

  • grrr

    sholes?

  • doublejizzle

    I wish they would quit stalling and release some good handsets

  • chris

    Yes the sholes would be nice I read it dec 1 release guess ill S2

  • jk

    Verzion, just release the damn phones.

  • VZW

    If we want to release some good phones, we need to have ROOM for them. We are fixing to lower the HTC Touch Pro and Diamond to 49.99. We sold tons of TP2 already. We sold out!

    This seems likes a circular argument. If you had good phones to being with, you wouldn’t need to discount them. It’s your fault you continually to rely on your network to sell your products and service. Any phone geek would tell you it takes Network + Great Phones. Get some real smartphones besides WM and BB and then we can talk.

    Aside from the Tour and TP2, does VZW even have any phones worth more than $25 on contract?

    VZW is quick with defenses for verizon but just as quick to demean any competitor moves, mostly Sprint

  • Larry

    the read link takes me to a Verizon page that says “offer not available in your ares.” WTF?

  • Mike

    I received the “offer not available in your area” too. ?????

  • Ray

    Looks like that link is one of the few deadspots on VZW network.

    However, I agree that vzw phones suck. And are overpriced considering the limitations placed on them. The thought of getting an ipone and using my own bandwidth to make up for shiddy network is getting closer to outweighing a good network with arguably some of the constrained and outdated phones on the market.

    Does anyone know what will be the next BB release on vzw besides Storm 2? What will be the release date of that model? I have bold on att and here in nyc it became to a point where no call goes through anymore.
    Thanks

  • Berryg

    Link is no longer working and code is no longer working at checkout :(

    I first got “offer not available in your ares.”, then i changed my zipcode/location (from 41017 to 45249) and resubmitted, and got the promo offerings, but what I see is not all phones for $25, but rather a promo code for $25 discount on 37 different phones.

  • VZW

    @ gokmengs

    The Curve 2 will be out this year with WiFi.

  • prototype

    @Larry

    same thing for me when I click the link.

  • gokmengs

    @vzw
    Thanks for the reply. Would you consider that better or equal to bold, disregarding the network they are on? I know it has a trackpad which is cool.

  • percy

    offer not available in NYC? WTF?

    @ doublejizzle & Jk

    Verizon Wireless is preparing to release very good handsets within the following months. These handsets are at final testing stages. Patience my friends.

  • Tully

    That’s nice. When will the TP2 be back in stock?

  • doublejizzle

    @Paul Marcarelli

    I have had patience…trust me :(

    I had a Treo 700w for a couple years and now a Samsung I760 for a year and a half. I am ready for change, BUT we never get any good phones….besides the same old LG, WinMo, and BB

  • Matt S

    tried to order a phone using the code, no worky.. DAMNIT
