razzle-launch

While all the world is heralding the arrival of Windows Mobile 6.5 on October 6th, Verizon Wireless will be launching two new feature phones that will almost certainly go unnoticed. We have already seen renders of the Razzle and now we have the launch date and pricing. The Razzle will see an online launch on October 6th with other channels to follow once remaining Blitz inventory has been sold off. Pricing is decent, coming in at $69.99 with a 2-year agreement. Also launching on the 6th, the Nokia Shade is an entry level flip phone with a 1.3 megapixel camera, Bluetooth, GPS, 1xRTT connectivity, 2.5mm headphone jack and changeable faceplates. The Shade will launch for $29.99 with a 2-year agreement. Hit the jump for a few more slides.

First! Razzle looks to be the dumbest phone in a long time. With a lousy name to boot.

    FUGLY…Not a smart move Verizon.

I really don’t see the point of the Razzle at all… is controlling the media player really that difficult?

The Shade on the other hand looks to be a pretty sleek feature phone. I consider them concert and beach phones. Basically they’re for high risk situations where my Omnia probably wouldnt survive.

Why do all these VZW suck? No wifi? Garbage

  • Blackberry Bold

It looks okay, but I am not willing to put my 2 years for it.

Hooray for the shade…the next line of phone for basic users. Nokia though, usually seems to fail at supplying basic phones.

It is a great MP3 Player that they have attached a cell phone to. I kinda really like it. Needs to come with a car charger and a patch cord to a 1/4″ jack. And I can’t find my pictures, yet.

I just got the new razzle and its a good phone.

The only thing I dont like is it should come with a set of headphones that fit in the mic jack…I hooked a headset to it and it cancels the music from the speakers and re-directs it to the headset…so it should have def come with headphones…

Great Phone, angled qwerty keyboard towards you.

I just got my Razzle about $ days ago, i really like it. its a great phone to have if you dont have an mp3 player or ipod. But i have an itouch, but the only problem ive been having latley are putting music on it. i just cant figure out how to do it. . .

how do you add your rhapsody music to the razzle??? can anyone help me???

  • AZFARO

It also doesn’t have EV-DO, which means it can’t download songs over-the-air from V Cast Music with Rhapsody. You can still use the desktop PC version and then use a USB cable to sync the songs, though. – got the info from – http://www.cnet.com/8301-17918_1-10382375-85.html

I just got my Razzle for free online and i think its a great step-up from my really old phone known as the Razr. If your looking on how to put music on it, hook it up to your computer and just transfer the music to the Razzle. I actually intended on getting the Motorola Devour which is like a little brother of the Droid but I guess you get what you get.

The Razzle looks cool. I REALLY want it. I don’t have an iPod or other music player, so a Messaging/Music phone is really convenient. The keyboard is similar to a Blackberry keyboard, which is awesome. The speakers are great, according to alot of reviews… Plus you don’t have to buy music– just transfer music from your computer via the 2G card.

But I can’t find it on the Verizon Wireless website. Did they cancel manufacturing of the Razzle? I wonder what happened to it. Anoybody know?
