AT&T’s Nokia Mural is back in action

General

Okay everyone, just calm down. After our scoop from earlier this month revealed that AT&T’s Nokia Mural had to be pulled from store shelves, the country erupted with panic. Crowds stormed the streets, the stock market crashed and riots enveloped major cities from coast to coast. No? Fine, no one really cared beyond the team at Nokia that put the handset together and the team at AT&T that had to re-flash all of those bungled handsets. The issue — a software error that prevented the Mural from connecting to AT&T’s 3G network — has apparently been resolved as we’ve received word from a few sources that Murals are beginning to trickle back into inventory. Actually, it’s pretty impressive that Murals are already starting to hit stores again considering the deadline for distributors to return their stock was yesterday. Kudos, AT&T. So there you have it, feature phone fans — the Mural is once again ready and waiting to gobble up $50 and two years of your wireless life. Don’t try to hide it… We know you’re excited.

Thanks to blue and everyone else who sent this in!

    Anytime.

At first glance I thought it was a Motorola phone… looks like a RAZR!

  • Kirk

    Nokia-worst designed phones ever.

Glad you were able to recover from the latest gut wrenching/emotionally disturbing BB connectivity and iPhone MMS outages long enough to post that Zach.

Before Nokia N76 copy from Motorola V3 Razr but Nokia N76 totally fail sales than Motorola V3 Razr (100 million units). Now Nokia Murai copy from Motorola Krzr Series and I think will totally fail sales than Motorola Krzr Series. Nokia Lost Design or learn from LG to copy from other brand.

TOTAL KRZR K1 knockoff. Shameless!! Nokia sucks anyway.

  • Hary

Do you even remember how Razr looked?

Undoubtedly, everyone commenting will be American and therefore has only been exposed to the shittiest Nokia phones known to man. Even Africa gets better Nokia phones than NAM. There is almost zero respect for the brand in the US which is a shame (I’m a hardcore E-series user).

Anyways, the re-release of the Nokia Mural is A BAD THING for the consumer. Anyone that buys one is just going to be looking for a simple phone and isn’t going to need blazing fast download speeds so 3G is just going to chop battery life in half.

E series is nothing special either. We have those here along with the junky N series too. There isn’t some special nokia’s we don’t know about.

I don’t get the hardcore nokia fanatics. The e71 was lame. Any blackberry dumps all over it. The N95 had a good camera and 8 GB of memory… Cool? N97 = failure. 5800….cheap. The iPhone, Pre, any blackberry, and most WM devices totally surpass nokia in just about every possible aspect now.

Nokia doesn’t know how to design mobile phone. My friend work for Nokia in China; he work to be Nokia tester phone. He says Nokia getting bored design and no innovation.

Nokia N76 the worst design than Motorola V3 Razr. Motorola V3 Razr to be the legend of thin flip phone. In my country Indonesia already has Nokia Murai; so look awfull and look cheap plastic.

Nokia E72 release in Indonesia. Nokia E72 is really look same like Nokia E71.

Looks like the 6650 Fold to me, but with a new keypad and that SonyEricsson exterior from the Z750, oh, about 2 1/2 years ago. But hey, it’s shiney!

  • MotoZine

Shiney look like Motorola Krzr K1.
