HTC Tilt 2 reappears in AT&T’s system in preparation for launch

Are you an AT&T subscriber anxiously awaiting the day when you can finally make the HTC Tilt 2 your own? If so, good news first came back in August when we gave you a screenshot of the handset sitting pretty in AT&T’s system. Things got even better yesterday when we told you the highly anticipated phone is scheduled to drop in mid-October with Windows Mobile 6.5 in tow. Today, just for good measure, one of our eagle-eyed tipsters managed to unearth a new screenshot, this time with the Tilt 2 holding a slightly more established position in AT&T’s system. Our last capture simply showed entries for the standard Tilt 2 along with a No Camera version — this time around we can clearly see that AT&T has added insurance options for both versions of the Windows Phone, as well as entries for used handsets. We’re also hearing that training is set to kick off soon after having been delaying due to the bug we mentioned yesterday. That bug, by the way, involved an AT&T-specific addition to the software, meaning those of you upset by the two-week delay shouldn’t be blaming HTC or Microsoft. Mmm hmm.

well i am still sportin’ the original tilt and it has served me good since i got it. Until recently that is… when the unit would automatically power off while i would be accessing the internet. Now i have gone through the motions of upgrading to the 6.1. now i am in the process of re-registering all the software i have downloaded, and some, like Mapquest navigator, say that it is incompatible with my phone…. whatever.

the AT&T near me offered me the Fuze this week for an ungodly amount…. I am definatly excited about the tilt2, but i hope that mapquest will upgrade their software for the winmo 6.5.

i really hate having to reinstall and re-register for all my fave programs…. maybe the windows mobile market place will offer something similar to microsoft’s digital locker so there wont be a need to re-purchase and re-register for the software.

i am interested in installing 6.5 now on my tilt…. anyone know if this is a possibility and point me in the right decision.

cliffy44 – i am definately interested in buying one of the tilt2s for 250!! how fast could i get one and activate it at ATT?

Cliffy44 reply: Teresa, E-Mail me; and if you like, we can then exchange contact information. It’ll be GSM; so, once you get it, all that you’d have to do was to insert your sim card.

I just called this morning and ordered mine [:

    order status shows “HITECH ST7377″

    i checked AT&T’s device support area of the website, and there’s a “ST7377″ and a “T7377″

what’s the difference? is one the model w/o the camera?

The Tilt 2 was stocked October 8th and will be available on Monday (October 18th). I was told by a customer service rep when I tried to advance buy lol.

The thing is that October 18 is sunday not monday… any real release date?

  • Photog

Why is the 18th not a real date? The Garmin came out on a Sunday and so did the PURE.

  • erocks

Right on the money the 18th
