Two Android-powered Motorola handset profiles revealed ahead of September 10th event

Rumor

Well what do you know? Just two days ahead of Motorola’s official entrance into Android land, two XML handsets profiles have been unearthed. Basic specs are really all we can glean from device profiles and in that regard, neither handset appears to be anything particularly special. Listed as the MB200 and MB300, each handset sports a Qualcomm MSM 7200A processor — likely clocked at 528MHz — powering a 320×480 pixel touchscreen display and GSM/WCDMA radios. The MB300 includes a 5 megapixel camera while then MB200′s shooter is apparently too insignificant to be referenced in the profile. As for what these handsets will materialize as, the MB200 is most likely the Morrison. The MB300 is a bit more of a mystery for the time being, though it could end up being the Calgary (100% speculation). We suppose it could also be a GSM variant of the Motorola Sholes, though “A855″ and “MB300″ aren’t very suggestive of twins. The bottom line is that all will be revealed on Thursday and we’ll be on hand as the drama unfolds.

Anyone find it funny these are rumored for T-Mobile and the “Calgary” has Verizon stamped on the back? haha

  • Dan

Still waiting for Snapdragon and Android 2.0

  • El Bastardo

@GetOverIt7 Yeah man, it’s hilarious… Because no phone manufacturer would EVER make the same handset for more than one carrier!

  • MotoZine

Motorola Sholes and Motorola Calgary for Verizon.
    Motorola Sholes also for T-Mobile.
Motorola Sholes will have OS Android 2.0.
Just change the logo in the back battery cover, so simple.

    @GetOverIt7 and @El Bastardo
It is Amazing, right? You guys is really funny and I think you live in the jungle.

Once more Motorola break the traditional “No phone manufacturer would EVER make the same handset for more than one carrier”. Same as Motorola Q9 has many carrier.

Before Motorola break the traditional bulk flip mobile phone with release the first thinnest flip mobile phone and break the world record sold 100 million units; that’s Motorola V3 Razr.

Sept 10. The start of the NFL and new information on Moto Android phones. It is shaping up to be a good day indeed.

    @MotoZine,
You do realize that El Bastardo was being sarcastic?

And what tradition are you talking about Motorola breaking? So what if the Q9 has multiple carriers, a lot of phones do.

Please stop. The more you talk the more people don’t like Motorola.

I am very curious to learn what (hopefully additional) Bluetooth profiles these devices will support.

  • Christopher

Well, to be frank, i think MB300 is Morrison and the MB200 is just a downgraded version of the latter in order to produce an even cheaper devise.

Do you imagine a $50, full-qwerty android device? Wouldn’t that widen Moto’s target group?

Besides, didn’t Nokia do the exact same thing with E51?

  • MotoZine

@info. I can’t stop to talk to anyone bashing Motorola. I said tradition “No phone manufacturer would EVER make the same handset for more than one carrier” like they says.

Do I says “No phone manufacturer would EVER make the same handset for more than one carrier and only Motorola”. So what?

  • George

I highly doubt the MB200 is the Morrison as its been hinted way too many times to sport a 5mpx Camera. The MB300 seems more plausible to be the Morrison. As for the MB200, it’ll most likely be one of those ‘free on Contract” phones.

  • Danger

    Sh Sh Sh Sholes!

  • MotoZine

Maybe Motorola Android Low Level is Motorola Heron.

  • MotoZine

After I digs from anywhere information; Motorola planning to annoucement 6 until 10 Motorola Android tomorrow.

  • motomann

    lets go Moto,kick htc’s ass!!!!!!!!

  • Dan

Hopefully at least we’ll get to see Motorola Blur operating system even if we don’t see a model of phone that we want.
