Nokia’s mysterious RM-559 “Alvin” passes the FCC

News

Kudos to Nokia, for doing something not many manufacturers have been able to do in recent history — get a device certified by the FCC without us pesky bloggers already knowing practically everything about it. The phone in question is the RM-559 aka Alvin, and details are limited to tri-band UMTS/HSPA, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 32GB of internal memory and a 1320 mAh battery. We’ll likely see Alvin unmasked tomorrow at Nokia World but if not, we’ll be sure to grab our shovels from the garage and commence digging for info.

Looks like the N900 specs to me.

I think its the first Xseries, and will be a slider/transforming form factor device, otherwise, I expect an N97 with a bigger, higher res screen, no keys, and hopefully a better camera. Think i8910 HD.

    JUST GUESSING, though…

eldar has it already (http://twitter.com/eldarmurtazin/status/3687978710). expecting low-cost TS music-phone.

It wasn’t leaked since it is probably another clone of 5800. Like 5800 navigation addition.

It’s probably the Nokia X6 phone.

I pretty much agree with Dan on this one. It’s the same shape as the X6 and has the same 32gb of storage. Wily nokia and their ability to hide their new phones from us all…
