Wow. I didn’t expect to see the drop continue. I’m curious to see how Netflix numbers compare.

Not totally shocking.

Though lately the damaged DVDs I’ve been recieving from Netflix has been annoying.

I am happy with Netflix, but I am surprised at the drop in BB since their pricing was better after the rate increase for Bluray.

Cheaper to use my digital cable and on demand service.

We need Blockbuster to stay around to keep some competitive pressure on Netflix…

I hope Redbox keeps growing and finally puts the last nail in blockbuster’s coffin

I walked into blockbuster the other day and paid $5.00
Yesterday i stopped by a redbox kiosk, rented a movie, returned it today and all i paid was a buck.

People who pay for blockbusters expensive prices are like my grandparents who still pay for AOL, even though they have a cable modem. Went down to visit them and cleared that situation up pretty quickly.

That’s why I’m a loyal Netflix customer, 11 years and counting. Service and selection win.

To bad that Netflix never adressed their damaged blu ray issues and then raised the prices for them. That’s why I still prefer BB over NFlix.

I love it! It’s nice to see these kinds of numbers when the people speak! Way too many businesses think they can just continue to screw customers with no consequences! Blockbuster deserves this when they don’t listen to their customers! And with this happening 2 quarters in a row you can be sure they are stupid and arrofant enough to let it happen for a third quarter too….you just watch!!!

i loved blockbuster .. until they put an end to the total access .. once that happened it wasn’t worth the extra money .. Netflix is cheaper and without the in-store rentals it’s just simple mathematics .. the cheaper price wins

Not the best news to read, as one of my roommates works at BB. I’d hate to see her lose her job, cuz the free rentals and movies before they come out have been a nice perk

It is simple, when Blockbuster goes out Netflix will raise prices and reduce service.

Netflix denied throttling customers despite users creating internet reporting databases showing it to be the case. they kept denying it and finally were sued and admitted doing it for two years while claiming not to.

Without competition netflix will go to back the garbage service they had when they thought blockbuster was dead.

This company has had it’s head up it’s butt for years and it is finally catching them. The phone lines at a local radio station overload everytime they mention the screw-ups at BB stores. They fail to record movie returns, then screw peoples credit when they won’t pay $50.00 for the movie that they did return. I refuse to spend a penny with them.

As a BB subscriber who felt screwed by the policy change — I feel doubly screwed because BB doesn’t send the movies in your que as fast as they did prior to the change.

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve called them to ask why they haven’t sent out the next available movie. The excuse usually goes something like this: “Well, the next movie in your queue is unavailable.” Why don’t you just send out the next available one — the way you used to, for crying out loud? I’ve got about 4 dozen movies in my queue!

I just switched from BB to Netflix. I had to drop down a plan level in order to keep the price the same and keep Blu-ray. The real reason I left was lack of streaming options. Why BB doesn’t have this I will never know. I would like them to stick around purely for the competition but let’s face it…BB as a company has been living on borrowed time ever since they decided to rapidly expand their brick & mortar operations in lieu of pursuing the internet/by mail/on demand markets. Natural selection at its best!

BB doesnt charge for Blu-ray like Netflix does and I can STILL go get a free movie. So what they dont send my next movie, seriously who cares. I only do one movie at a time anyway. What IS starting to piss me off is how many of my movies in the que are “long wait”. Tired of waiting for season one of Tru Blood.
