BlackBerry Curve 8520 coming to Bouygues Telecom

Exclusive

While many of our readers think the BlackBerry Curve 8520 is about as boring as it gets, truth be told it’s infinitely more functional than most devices in its (Walmart or Amazon) price range and it invites a whole new demo over to Berry. One of our RIM ninjas hit us up this morning to let us know that within the next month it should be available for purchase in France from Bouygues Telecom. A hard price and street date have yet to be set, but we can’t imagine that it will cost all that much, if anything at all, considering the $0.01 – $48.88 pricing we have here in the states. Vive la Curve.

Bouygues is pronounced Boo-weeg. Yes I took years of French but it took a call 6 years ago to my friend in Toulouse to tell me how to prounounce it.

I hella still like to call it Boo-wee-jess

We can hate all we like, but the Blackberry Curve is the best selling phone in America, even outselling the iPhone.

Actually Michael the lowest prices in the US for a BlackBerry Curve 8520 range from Free from CrackBerry.com with a new T-Mobile account, $0.01 with a new service plan from Amazon.com and of course $48.88 from Walmart with a new account or eligible upgrade on existing line.

However I don’t think you get the upgrade to free 2-day shipping from CrackBerry.com like you do on Amazon with purchase.

Drew – California, not South Dakota or San Diego. HAHA

I like to call it Boo-Wee-Jess just to piss off the French.
