T-Mobile slashes prices on Samsung Comeback and Highlight

Retail

Talk about a shameless early adopter tax… T-Mobile released the Samsung Comeback just a week ago and it has already chopped the handset’s price down by $55 to $74.99 after MIR — a 42 percent drop! The Samsung Highlight, released one week earlier on July 15th, has also been trimmed from $149.99 to a still-too-much-for-too-little $129.99. Actually, both handsets are still priced a bit high if you ask us. For anyone with a tween child/sibling whose birthday is coming up soon, here’s a refresher: The Comeback is a 3G-enabled handset with a full-QWERTY keypad beneath the flip, 2 megapixel camera, MP3 player and microSDHC support. The Highlight is is full touchscreen 3G phone with a 3 megapixel camera, stereo Bluetooth, A-GPS and microSDHC support as well. Yeah, neither handset is going to blow anyone’s hair back but as long as you toss an unlimited messaging plan into the mix, we’re sure it’ll make any tween happy.

Thanks, Jordan!

I wonder if they will require you to have the $25/mnth data plan like they do with the Samsung Behold?

Nobody bought any yet. No worries.

Technically, if you bought it at a corporate location, they can price match if you’re within the 14day remorse period.

You can get the comeback at walmart.com for free, but you have to get the unlimited web and text messaging for 19.95 to get it for free.
