BlackBerry 9700 specifications

Exclusive

While we don’t have a sexy codename for this BlackBerry to attach to the model number, our very same ninja is back again with a list of specifications for this unseen and unnamed device that will launch as the BlackBerry 9700. Ready?

  • Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE
  • UMTS/HSDPA
  • 480×360 resolution display
  • Wi-Fi a,b,g
  • OS 5.0
  • QWERTY keyboard
  • 3.2 megapixel AF camera
  • Bluetooth

We know, we know, specs on paper are one thing — we’re working on getting more information, don’t worry.

UPDATE: And… the BlackBerry 9700 is the new model number for the BlackBerry Onyx. That’s why the specs are identical. Makes sense!

I like RIM but if they keep selling whats the incentive to reinvent their product.

I dont agree with this logic and would like to see a new OS.. just dont think it will happen.

And to StevenG I thought the fat pictures of you would keep you away guess not

Let’s see innovate you say? well, it’s up to the carriers to decide what they want, you can’t just force things on them. So don’t blame RIM or other manufactures.

Good God please come out for T-Mobile…

We need more specs like processor an onboard memory but it looks really sweet from the very limited specs you have given us BGR. Well I will wait for Storm 2.

    Sent via BlackBerry.

This Berry is clearly headed to T-Mobile with the UMA rught? 3g enabled Hotspot @Home phone is what i am guessing.

TMO NEEDS a 3G Berry anyways so i say BRING IT

I am not impressed with specs. Actually, I think it’s really poor.

    RIM moves so fast.

RIM is pumping out hardware with nothing new but a design, I am not buying the same old stuff, I can tell you that

Believe me, RIM is far from being original. If your thinking Bold II you’re likely right. Some may even think it’s just spare parts being put together to use up their over abundance of extra inventory.

I hope they put a couple gigs of ram in the 9700, RAM IS CHEAP!

No, I think that T-Mo will be getting the new SideKick 10! LOL!
