HTC Ozone to land on Verizon June 29th

General

Remember the HTC Ozone? Of course you do and so does one of our Verizon ninjas because we’ve received word that the Ozone (also known as the XV6175, Snap, Cedar and Willow if you’re so inclined) will apparently be available online starting June 29th with brick and mortar availability to follow on July 13th. Pricing is still something we’ve yet to zero in on but if you’re the sort of person who stands by Big Red and are absolutely dying to get your hands on an all-too-rare WinMo-powered candybar with a full-QWERTY, then something tells us price is no object. Right?

Thanks, goldciv!

UPDATE: Looks as if pricing will be $119.99 on a 2-year although it looks like there will also be a $70 MIR.

anyone else realize that this phone is supposed to hit the “brick and mortal” stores the same day the tuh-tuh-tuh-Tour?

  • ckeegan

You can’t tell me that the same ninja is unable to clue us in to the release date for the Touch Pro2. Come on.

  • Rono

Hmm coming out same date as Tour has been reported as potentially being released. Interesting.

  • grrr

july 13 seems more believable now for the TOUR. i want it EARLIER!!!

  • VZW

This will have wifi while the sprint one won’t.

“Yeah I cant wait for the tuh-tuh-tuh Touch Pro2 lol”

    LMAO!

    Agreed.

VZW is always trying to make it looks like verizon has the best phones come on git it a break. Even t-mobile has better phones than garbage verizon.

I love how people trash talk Verizon phones, but are rarely ever able to trash talk their service. Personally, I think anyone who chooses a provider based on their phone selection is an absolute moron. Literally the dumbest of the dumb. In my area, you can’t beat Verizon coverage. (period)

    $99.99

Great that Verizon is getting a HTC phone before it get’s stale. VZW is a pompous peanut head to think and continue to post the phones are not unlocked, the nickel and dime tactics would be useless without those locks. Dumbphones are still prohibited from any non-vzw anything and smartphones get GPS and that’s all, unless you count RIM’s app store. I really don’t see any of this “all unlocked” misrepresentation, wanna call it a lie but the way you keep saying make me believe he believes, maybe that’ll change when the smartphones alone get a Java overhaul

How’s that Sprint WAP service (watered-down internet in-drag) workin for ya which Sprint compares to other carriers who deliver the real-deal? …

When is Sprint scheduled to deliver real internet service (vs their current proxied WAP service)?

    No counter-punches change Sprint’s reality.

  • Don Louie Cantone

Opera Mini, can any vzw phone get it? cruel_reality, you make it seem like every phone vzw offers is html but that isn’t the case. Sprint’s phones can do whatever they want thru 3rd parties, vzw only allows thier party favors but keep counting GPS as completly unlocked

  • Charles “Chuck You” Schumer

Hey, look where the spacebar is. Well, we can guarantee that BG won’t like this phone if he does a review on it.

  • Don Louie Cantone

^That reminds me, where part II to the Pre review?

i like it, the only one concern for me is they’d want data plan, if that wasn’t case i’d take it

  • flying falcon

I’m with Verizon now but when the HTC Touch Pro 2 comes out on Sprint, I’m crossin over with the Data Everything Plan for $100
YEAH MAN!!! GPS, MINS. TEXT, EMAIL
No more $30 for this $9.99 for that, $10 for the other.
    Adios Verizon

Thats great, we should all move to your area.
Quite frankly I only get 2 services @ my home, Verizon and Sprint. No other service can make calls. When I saw a guest makin a few calls on Sprint here at my house, my mind was made up.

The Data Plans from Sprint won me over. I have my enV- the first one. When the HTC TP2 comes out I will pay the $175 and move on!!!
    YEAH MAN!!!

Between the Snap, Ozone and Dash I am getting dizzy… I think all three of these phones fit a market that is likely big email and text users. This is going to be a big summer for windows mobile and I am excited to go to the stores for sure.

ha, people look at the facts, how many of the phone companies are merging with Verizon, thats right, Quest, alltel what next?…… we are in a recession , so phone companies are going down so they are going to the company that is more successful, yea… VERIZON They may not have the coolest looking phones, but they are reliable and good quality phones. Just suck up your nonsense pride and look at the facts!

  • Jeff

Then which company do you prefer, and why?
