Verizon Wireless to end BlackBerry BOGO promotion

Exclusive

A few of our ninjas hit us up to let us know that Verizon’s successful Buy One Get One promotion for BlackBerry handsets will soon be ending. Instead of a BOGO deal, BlackBerry devices will be reduced in price by $50. The promotion is still available as of the writing of this post and no official ending date has provided, though we’re hearing today is actually the cutoff day. If you’ve been sleeping on snatching up a pair of BOGO ‘Berrys however, don’t despair. We’re told that Verizon will quietly continue to honor the BOGO promo through June 27th due to active advertising that couldn’t be killed in time. Sweet! Whether or not you’ll be able to convince retail reps to hook you up with BOGO Pearl Flips starting June 19th remains to be seen but we doubt it. Who are we kidding though? BOGO or not, all you care about right now is the Tour.

Thanks anonymous and KrazyVZW!

    Why is everyone acting like the Tour is all that? Its basically more of the same. Are there any new innovations that I’m not seeing?

    Sales Rep told me BOGO deal good till end of month, I asked yesterday (06/15/2009) About getting a storm and pearl with the deal. He said no problem as long both numbers are eligible for an upgrade.

    256 MB of Memory insted of 128 on Bold, High-Res HGVA Screen, half VGA on Bold, And it’s on Americas largest and best Voice and 3G data network.

    Laz, what Sprint phone can be used on vzw? Your statment make as much sense as VZW’s, meaning none.

  • VZW

    Yeah, the BOGO is going on till the end of June.

  • VZW

    Auctually, its not hard to get a phone on Verizon. Most of the time, *228 works. I did a Alltel phone the other day to see if it worked, and it did. The ERI says ALLTEL Extended but still has Verizon voice mail, Verizon 611, Verizon #MIN #PMT #BAL #DATA ect.

    Good, now the stage is set to announce the Storm 2. Verizon, get it done!

    @Gael

    The tour is an evolutionary step up from the 8330 and more importantly the 8830. Nothing revolutionary. Better screen, better camera, better world capabilities, faster processor, 3.5mm headphone jack, more memory, and a future OS 5.0 upgrade. It’s like buying the 2010 BMW to replace your 2005 model.

    P.S. Tuh tuh tuh TOUR!!!

  • Bdizzah

    @VZW,
    Think that would work with a pre???

  • fanboyred
