BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8230 and Samsung Code appear on U.S. Cellular site ahead of launch

Exclusive

Reaching out to all the U.S. Cellular customers out there who might feel a little left out with new phones being announced for other carriers, we’re trying our best to stay on top of the handful of handsets due out this month. While the BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8230 and Samsung Code might not be the most exciting of the bunch, one of our sneakier readers managed to snoop dedicated pages for each handset live on U.S. Cellular’s site. Don’t try this at home kids — they’re not easily found from the main site. Hit the read links for each handset to see the full specs and sit tight as both the fliptastic 8230 and, umm, Windowstastic Code are set to drop later this month.

Thanks, TW!

    The code looks like something that would premier on Italy’s TIM network–Very European looking with the curves and white plastic.

    @VZW4LIFE, “the world does not stop and start at your convenience…”

    I care about USCC as I have run my BlackBerry off them for work. They have the best QOS in the Midwest so I plan on being with them for a while, though I would never suggest for “4LIFE” as things can always change.

    living on the western edge of madison wi, US Cellular is the ONLY carrier that gets service within a 50 mile radius of my house (save for in madison propper). so as a BGR-aholic id like to give a huge THANK YOU, for keeping up with this little carrier that could.

    @KMAN

    Can’t I be a little narcissistic just once in awhile?

    *sigh*

    Okay, okay… for those who reside in areas where US Cellular is your only choice – my bad.

    I was gunna say that Samsung Code isnt bad bad. I mean I would want a touchscreen, EVDO Rev A, and a higher res camera. I’m not really a fan of Winmo, but the fact that it has 1480mah of battery juice that would be nice. Cus my wifes Pre, my G1, and my old Instinct S30 all suck balls in the battery life dept.

    Damn too bad US Cellular is a CDMA carrier, I was gunna say they should pick up subsidizing some of the new kick butt Nokias.

  • VZW4LIFE

    @KMAN (again)

    “VZW4LIFE” as in, the life of the contract, the life of the favorability VZW has in it’s customer service, the life of the current state of the company. Should any of these things change, I would reconsider. Barring some drastic, fundamental changes, I see my myself staying with best wireless company in the United States for a very, very long time.
    Eight years and counting…

    Metro has the Samsung Code for 299.00

    • Alan Lemond

      With the Samsung promos that started today you get the Code for $229.00 – 50 MIR to Samsung and 20 MIR to Metro. Requires 50 Smart Phone plan, and a big deal considering that Metro now roams transparently on US Cellular! (I am in New England so travelling to Maine is now awesome and without the excessive expense other carriers would nail me for.).
