wonder if they’ll honor an exchange, kinda doubt it
(i’d settle for a free ipod touch)

    turbodolphin,

I am in the exact same boat. I bought mine not even a week ago.

  • JJLO

Got mine in October. This would have been worth the wait.

Come on guys, you had to have known that WWDC was coming up.

Does anyone else see the irony about people who are so passionate about technology that they comment on BGR, *not* checking to see whether there’s a good chance that new Macbooks (or updates) are coming out? No one here has a right to complain about new Apple stuff. You all should have known about “Big Update Day,” aka WWDC, coming up. Most of the Mac rumor sites (eg appleinsider, macrumors) have indicated for weeks, if not months, that there would be new gear coming out today.

If Apple does exchange your stuff for new gear, they should levy a “stupid tax”.

More proof why you should never be an early adopter for Apple. My friend is furious right now. He just bought the “new” 13″ macbook when it was announced not too long ago, but had to shell out upwards of $1600 for a backlit keyboard one. Now, it seems you can get the keyboard for $1200 and they re-added firewire.

That’s them Apples for ya. I told him not to ever buy anything the first time Apple does it cause they will always do something shortly after to piss you off (iPhone comes out, 2 months later drops $200 in price…

    awesome!!!
    A 13 inch Pro line-er.
    How cool.
I loved my 12″ powerbook from back in the day. Never had a more compact laptop with that much power (for the times, it was good)
    awesome!!!

  • morlay

Yeah i’m in the same boat as everyone else. I got my 13″ for christmas. Its kind of upsetting but at the same time i’ve gotten a whole hell of a lotta use out of the computer so i really don’t have much to complain about.

  • IAMGOD

I want to know what happen about MAC Netbook?? they wont make it out?

  • Steve

Guys, if you’re still within the return deadline (30 days?) they will honor the return. My buddy just returned his MB today…just 2 days shy of the cutoff. He ordered a MBP right after. (I hate him.)

Are you an idiot or are just pretending to be one? The “new” 13″ MacBook was announced last October, which is like 8 whole months ago. It’s been at about 7 months since it was considered new.

Or are you arguing that HP and Dell don’t come out with new gear that’s faster and better at a lower price every few months or so? Would your friend (which is probably yourself) be similarly outraged that a Dell box today is probably way better than a Dell box 6 months and 30% cheaper to boot? Somehow I doubt it.

All it means is that you’re just another piece of evidence that outrage only comes from Apple haters.

well Im over 40 a millionaire, to be frank and am just getting into tech, my first mobile, then called a “cell phone” and my first computer were when I was 33 so Im just getting my momentum. I’ve been on other sites big time but just getting onto #1 here. I have businesses and my brother is a Mac programmer so there’s always be inpetus to get a mac, and I finally went out and got two Airs, my 1st Apple products. And …my last. I am returning the things tomorrow I don’t care how good or bad they are great way to annoy people, Apple.

all macs are so overpriced its crazy. guess that’s why i never even look at them in the store.

  • macmaniac

HAHAHAHA when they announced the 13 macbook (aluminium) in October i was going to pay 1600 dollars for the backlit keyboard but i knew they would eventually bring it to the entry level model soon because recently apple has been listening to the consumers alot. I can wait for the October/November for another big upgrade. After that i’ll buy a macbook pro (13inch) because i know they will not give a shit about upgrades for the macs for quite some time. This has been evident with the ipod … since they introduced the ipod touch … im pretty sure they fill a netbook slot and forget about the macbook pro line …althought netbooks are not my thing so i wont mind the added attention because atleast i wont feel bad for minor updates in the pro line ….

  • Gotanexchange

I thought you should know that I was in the same boat. I called them and they honored an exchange (after much arguing).
