Worried about Pre shortages? Not as much as this guy, you're not…

Retail

Things have heated up quite a bit since Sprint confirmed to us that the Palm Pre is likely to be in short supply when it launches this weekend. As such, if you’re one of the many future Pre addicts who can’t wait to get your hands on Palm’s first webOS-powered device you may want to consider dusting off the old camping gear. According to tinyComb, lines for the Pre are already beginning to form outside Sprint shops. Ok fine — one guy is parked outside one shop rocking a sign that reads “First”, but who knows how many could join him before the week is through? Here’s what the anonymous Pre hound had to say:

I’ve been so disappointed with Sprint since my parents got me a plan three years ago. I hear there is only going to be four phones at each spot, and I’m getting mine!

Good luck to you, sir. Hit the jump for more shots.

Thanks to everyone who sent this in!

Yeah, well, the reception in your parents’ basement isn’t likely going to be better with a Pre either. You better call your D&D friends before going downstairs, so they can come over and look at it.

I work for a Sam’s Club (RSolutions Kiosk) and we rarely get high end phones. We got to carry the Instinct only after it was out for 90 days. And we never carried any of the Treo’s only the Centro. I think if we are allowed to carry the Pre it wont be until the first 3 months. BUT your right about the other indirect dealers having it @ low prices. (without MIR) Either way I’m very excited about the phone! And the guy outside the store is probably a publicity stunt because why hasn’t anyone called the cops on this guy yet?

Great ad campaign on tinycomb’s behalf. How many site hits do you think they’ve registered since this post?

That1BrazilianBITCH, I can believe stories of bad C.S. but high prices have no merit, especially compared to att

The reason why he dont get a iPhone is cuz he dont want to go with the company that carry it cuz that company is WACK!!! thats the reason why im not saying the iphone is wack but is proved that GSM Network has the most droppest calls in the world is good ig you go to another country but CDMA is way better again im not saying the iphone is not good but if it was in a CDMA carrier it was the best phone but now we have the PRE poor iphone LOL

Your understanding is really worng wait and youll see how many they gonna have per store 10

  • Jose

I dont get it people talk s*** about sprint and people that like the iphone GOOGLE PALM PRE and go to the forums and talk s*** if you dont like the PRE why you are in that page and google it…. OMG another thing they talk about sprint the worst company and still first the only company I can say is tie with sprint or have the potential to be better is Verizon

Look at this dumb ass sales rep trying to put his store on the map!! I can tell its a store rep becasue he has a black sprint button up shirt on with a yellow hoody… By the way best buy sells refurbish phones I wouldnt recommend.

sprint=1.4 million customers leaving their company last quarter. They all cant be wrong?

  • Don Louie Cantone

They made a choice that may or may not be right for them, the other 49M must be wrong for staying by your logic

  • Don Louie Cantone

Now what about the WiMax/LTE research results.

  • Cedric

Sprint hasn’t 49 million “staying” that includes non contract and “Boost”. Sprint has about 31 million contract customers and is losing more each quarter.

  • Don Louie Cantone

Why try to validate your argument with fake numbers and what does it have to do with the camper again. Sprint’s CDMA subs alone is more than that and they have an IDEN post pay base too, which is where the majority of the defections come from

  • Don Louie Cantone

People waiting on the re-up are getting anxious. This is terrible that no date for more is around. Those big pictures of the phone in store windows and links all over the web just rub our faces in it
