Latest Verizon Wireless Rebate sheet reveals env3 and a few more upcoming handsets

Rumor

One of our Verizon ninjas just sent through the latest Verizon Wireless rebate sheet covering May 11th to June 4th 2009 and it reveals a few upcoming handsets. We’ll tell you all right now though — there are no big surprises this month unfortunately. First up, an official confirmation of the upcoming env3 which will be available in slate blue and the familiar maroon. We already knew this update to the env2 was coming and have seen plenty of blurrycam shots. Though its presence on the rebate sheet does not confirm a launch within the rebate period, it does suggest that the env3 is not too far from getting official. Also new to the rebate sheet but known to be launching soon are the Samsung Alias 2 expected on May 11th and the MiFi 2200 portable EV-DO router available May 17th. Noticeably absent is the Voyager 2, rumored to be officially called the envTouch due to Plantronics owning the trademark on the Voyager name. This rumor is somewhat substantiated by the disclaimer at the bottom of the rebate sheet stating, “Voyagerâ„¢ is a trademark of Plantronics, Inc. used under license by Verizon Wireless.” Hit the jump for the full rebate sheet.

Sprint rides piggyback? Uhhh… What is it with all you that think Verizon is the network Sprint uses?
    WRONG!

And Verizon has zero new phones other then rehashes of the same old ones in a new case.

According to our internal roadmap, Costco’s cellphone kiosk (Wireless Advocates) will get the Env3 later this month/early next month.

    Surprise!

Darn I was hoping on a closer date for the tour…these phones seem be to be an old call sheet from T-Mobile back in 2006. Hey Kelly, ask Zach if anything becomes official on the 9630 “Tour”

    Ugh @ these phones.

That Palm Pre and Sprint looks nicer every day.

  • motomann

Don Louie, Sprint has the only all digital network running at 1900 mhz where Verizon typically runs on 800 mhz. Go check Verizonwireless.com and read the fine print about coverage. Then come back and post more BS.
Verizon is the only wireless carrier that reports other networks as there own.

Ok so Verizon is a good carrier, but I think they need to really think about PHONES!!!! They have no good ones right now. Why does it take them soooo long to release any? I am so tired of this with them that I am going to go elsewhere if things don’t change. I would like the new Blackberry that is suppose to be coming out, but when??? Once again the waiting game!

Env Touch, June 5th, nuff said.

You guys are a trip. First criticize VZ for not having best phones, but then commend them for having stable network and good CS. Look @ storm to see what happens when they drop phones first.
There’s something to be said about a good QA process.
You can be first. Or you can be stable. Both usually don’t go hand in hand.

    @ roger A
Pitty on you that there is no bigger fonts to make your point. Maybe then we will buy your “facts”

  • lillylou

internal verizon store refresh calendar has env3 set to launch on may 29th and the pearl flip on the 30th

  • http://www.CitySpeek.com Jeff

what, no new Blackberry yet? Come on, I am dying here!!!!

  • Mike

Forget about a new Blackberry — no new smartphones? HTC Snap, Motorola A4500?????

    @notthesmartest:

    SHENANIGANS! TOTAL B.S.!!!

Foreign countries have amazingly cool phones with hi-end cameras and broadband with all the bells and whistles and somehow their networks don’t suffer.

U.S. Phone companies drag their feet because they’re all a bunch of mindless greedy bastards.
