Four sexy 3G Samsungs get pictured on their way to T-Mobile

Rumor

Tmonews forum user VtotheZ managed to get his hands on a whole mess of Samsung handsets that will be making their way to T-Mobile US this year. While details are limited for the time being, it certainly looks like there will be something for everyone. First up, pictured above at the top and bottom right, is the Samsung Gravity 2. Featuring dual keypads and a side-sliding form factor, this Gravity replacement will reportedly be available in pink/red and orange/graphite and out before Q4. At the bottom right of the image above, you’ll find the 20-key Samsung T349 we scooped last month which is due out on May 20th. Hit the jump for the goods on two more Tmo-bound 3G Sammys.

Thanks, Glenn!

Pictured above is a full touchscreen piece with an unknown moniker that should be landing before Q4 as well. All we know so far is that it sports a 3 megapixel camera and TouchWiz. The poster claims that the pricing on this little guy will be “VERY VERY nice” on contract. Sweet.

Last but certainly not least is a unique little dual-screen gem whose name is unknown. Due out this Summer, this Sammy sports a tiny outer display with a standard 0-9 keypad and flips open to reveal a larger internal display with a full QWERTY and a d-pad. It will be available in two color combination at an unknown price point.

On a related note, the poster also claims Samsung’s Android-powered I7500 will indeed be coming to T-Mobile but it won’t launch until November.

Looks like T-Mobile has a bit of Verizon EnV doesn’t it?

While I’m sure they’re all capable phones, I can’t help but think that they all look like toys–either Fisher Price or Transformers ones…maybe Power Rangers or something.

    T659: looks like SK slide
    T749: stripped down Asshole
    both have basic UMTS support

  • 3 Phones Jugglin

Well the first is just a Samsung Rant….

3G Phones..and dont even have 3G in all areas. Oh well.

  • DigDug

@Jeremiah, I agree, but remember it has been quite clear over the last year +/- that TMO USA is primarily focussing on/targeting the (female) teeny-bopper – to – 20yo market, and these designs/colors clearly underscore that goal.

  • Jeremiah

@DigDug – Was that actually a confirmed marketing target or is that just an “educated” conjecture?

You commenter’s are retarded and Ungrateful B-Tards, Have Fun being Moron’s.

Obviously these were never meant to be High end, they’re right where they should be Middle to Low end. SO yeah they’re not TRYING to be High End Phones so they’re just fine for what they are.

If you want High End then Get the Touch Pro2 Coming to T-Mobile USA FIRST! HA HATERS!!!

    Smooches Crotches Betches!

the one with the colored rings, copied the metallic trim of the LG Rumor2 at Sprint, as well as the overall ovoid shape and even the number pad buttons.

I love the ( if I were running the company; this is what I would do )

Give some credit to Pink.. If you don’t like it there are other offerings.

I like t-mobile they are the underdog…and their customer service is the best!

Break/Lose your iphone and see how concerned at&t is with keeping you as a customer.

  • DigDug

@Jeremiah, just my observation of their handsets the last 12 months or so, and their commercials which almost always these days feature the female teeny bopper niche.

I’m not a TMO hater, have been a customer since day 1 of TMO USA; likely moving to iPhone2009 or Pre though since I want a 3G smart phone that isn’t running Windows 95 (er, Winmo 6.1).

@DigDug: The last two T-mobile commercials I remember are an old couple taking about changing carriers and a 50 year old guy talking to his kids about his internet dating. Nothing about that screams female teeny bopper to me.

  • DigDug

@Jeremiah, in that last commercial did you note that the three kids who were calling their faves and texting were each teeny-boppers? Contrast this with the ATT, VZ commercials which more often emphasize network, smart phones, and business functionality.

I havent seen the old couple one yet.

I really like TMO as a company (customer service, etc.). But their business-oriented handset selection is severeley lacking – dont even have a 3G BB as I recall. Hey they are making a killing on teens (sidekick, etc.) nothing wrong with that as a business strategy/focus, just doesnt help me as a customer. I also work in a part of manahattan that has little to no TMO service, so I’m changing providers so I can at least use my personal phone during the work day.

    @ DigDug

if you want lots of T-Mobile info, then visit TMoToday.com, TmoNews.com and CellPhoneSignal.com.

i dont really blame you for not having the latest T-Mobile news if you just visit BGR because, with all do respect, they love At&t.

Now, as a blogger over at TMoToday, I can tell you there are rumors of the Nokia XpressMusic 5730 coming to T-Mobile, which is basically exactly like the E75 with more multimedia options. It still runs S60. That’s one rumored smartphone.

Also coming are a like 5 Android devices. As far as I can recall, Android is a smartphone OS. And if that doesn’t do it for you and you need more “business”, the Windows Mobile is the best bet. If that doesn’t do it for you then go to the iPhone and take 3 hours to type a 2 paragraph e-mail message.

I saw these phones and I believe all of them will sell extremely well, especially the clamshell and the touch screen.

I hope that keyboard is easy to use on the last phone. I cant wait to test it out because I’m really considering on snatching one up. Its hard to hide a Sidekick LX in class haha, I need something smaller.

  • tmo4life

OMG LOL he just said AT&T focuses on network and business users! Wait until I tell my BFF Jeremy about this! LOL!

    Idiot.

  • Jay

That’s what I dont understand. I live in NC, we dont even have 3G service yet. But the Gravity 2 looks like it should be the Rant 2 haha. The touchscreen phone could go as the Behold 2. The last phone looks like it could be called something like the Samsung Distinct haha…idk
