New pics and more specs for Nokia E75; MWC announcement?

Rumor

Hot on the heels of a thoroughly-previewed 5730 XpressMusic, new images of the luscious upcoming Nokia E75 have surfaced along with some new details on its guts. It looks like Nokia might have found a new form factor du jour – the E75 is one of three unreleased handsets that feature the new slim side-sliding QWERTY design. We’re not complaining, mind you, but so far the N97 is our favorite of the bunch in terms of design. Having the 0-9 keypad is nice but we prefer more screen real estate on a side slider rather than a tinier display that sits way off center while typing. Moving along; the E75 pictured above is the Germanized version featuring a QWERTZ keyboard but the core specs that have been confirmed will apply to all versions. Confirmed items: 2.4 inch screen, 3.2 megapixel camera, HSDPA and Wi-Fi. It’s not much but it’s enough to whet your appetite for now. The timing of this leak makes us wonder if the E75 is destined for an official announcement at Mobile World Congress – Nokia would surely want to steer clear of any big Nseries news that may detract from its coming flagship N97 so it makes sense. Whether or not MWC is the target, expect more E75 news to come around well before the show kicks off. Hit the jump for more pics.

This is the special model for BGR members who like to speculate and are too stupid to read the description.

In one of George W. Bush’s last official acts, he ordered all future mobile phones to switch to the QWERTZ standard.

Nokia is first out with this model.

To all the folks scratching their heads about QWERTZ:

it’s a German market keyboard, they have this layout on their keyboards.

That is one good looking phone.
Nokia E series phones have the most features for the price.

I would love this, but I bought the E71 in December.

I’m waiting for a 16×9 eseries with SMP or HTC android device with 800×480 display and qwerty slider.

Too bad 800×480 is still on the “eventually” part of the Android roadmap.
