Not to be outdone by Sling’s recent “all in” announcement, Qik has revealed a new beta client with support for 20 more Windows Mobile handsets. The newest version of the slick video streaming software sports the company’s first Palm-compatible client, with support for the 800w and Treo Pro, as well as a plethora of Samsung and HTC-based phones. In addition to the new phones, Qik has included the ability to utilize external flash memory for bigger upload buffers, as well as enhanced support for touchscreen devices. We still think that the live streaming video space is one of the most exciting mainstream tech developments in recent memory, and we’re happy to see the major players committed to continually improving their services. Hit the jump for the full list of newly supported devices, and happy Qikking!
