Upcoming 2009 handsets from Motorola pose for BGR on their way to Verizon

Well lookie here. Motorola apparently has a few tricks up its sleeve that might just surprise us in the coming year. Well they would have any way, if our trusty ninja didn’t come through with the goods! Moto fans, feast your eyes on four sexy handsets coming your way in what is shaping up to be Motorola’s final shot at survival. For the time being details are slim; in fact pretty much all we have are images, the knowledge that they’re all hitting Verizon Wireless, code names and a 2009 time frame (though we do know the RUSH 2 will be out during Q1, likely early in the quarter). We’re seeing some big changes here in terms of common styling cues from Moto – just look at the FLASH, pictured above. Sharp angles and raised, blended buttons – it actually looks pretty hot! There’s plenty more where that came from of course, so hit the jump for shots of the other three handsets.

    Gimme the Calgary and I’ll be the happiest man on the planet… that is, as long as Verizon doesn’t mess up the UI like they did with the Krave and the Glyde… and all their other phones. As long as it performs well, I’ll forget about the smartphones. Seriously.

    Hey.DOES anyones know if the Calgary will be a smartphone and if it will come soon? Because if it isn;t I’ll get one but if it comes as a smart phone and is coming late then I want the Rival a455(rush 2)

    Well, well, It looks like Moto has some fight left in them! I can only hope that the Calgary comes to fruition and makes it across the pond.

    However, if it’s CDMA based will it work on European carriers?

    Still hope it’s better built than my ZN5…

    Because hands down, Verizon still has the best network, the best clarity, and the least dropped calls. Especially over AT&T.

    The Rush 2 looks like the Moto Rival which sucks! The Calgary looks like a Moto Droid knock off. Inferno…looks like the Krave which hasnt been the best phone. How can all these people say they are getting these phones when there hasnt been any release date nor Specs. on the phones. Remember you are buying a phone not an accessory or toy. Just because it looks “cool” doesnt mean its gonna be “KOOL”!
