HTC Touch Pro now available for Verizon Wireless

General

touch pro verizon

Right on schedule, the HTC Touch Pro made its debut on Verizon’s website and is now available for ordering online or via telesales. The Touch Pro from Verizon is a bit pricier than its Sprint and AT&T counterparts, coming in at $349 after a $70 MIR and 2-year contract, $419 after $70 MIR and a 1-year contract or $539 for full retail. Current customers eligible for an NE2 upgrade can take $100 or $50 off those prices. Those who prefer to try before they buy will have to wait until the Touch Pro hits Verizon Stores on December 1st. Happy ordering!

Thanks, everyone who sent this in!

Yes, go into settings, then “Today”, then on the Items tab on the bottom, then check TouchFLO 3D.

Seems to be a deciant phone, but I may return it and go back to my old BB. making the switch from BlackBerry to Windows Mobile is hard for me…

THIS PHONE IS ATROCIOUS ! I really thought HTC stepped their game up. What a FAIL

HTC makes great phones. Blame Verizon for bastardizing their version. – Cutting the memory in half, butchering a keyboard that was already perfectly fine, locking down the GPS so that it only works with their subpar monthly charge service (VZNav is NOT Google Maps, not even close) and then charging $50 more for it.

Im really tempted to just pay retail for the sprint version and flash a custom version of the VZW rom on it. I wouldnt even mind the loss of technical support, since the VZ techs are generally clueless anyway (as with all carriers) but the big sticking point is no insurance coverage going that route.

I just got the HTC Touch pro yesterday. It is soooooo SLOW! My 3.5 year old Samsung i730 is a faster phone. I think I will send this dog back to Verizon. Features=cool speed=dismal.

I just checked this phone out at the Verizon store today. No TF3D interface. No diamond faceted back like the GSM Touch Pro. The Sprint version and AT&T Fuze did a MUCH better job with this phone.

The TF3D has to be activated (on the VZW phone). I just took mine back last night and exchanged it for a Samsung Omnia. The Omnia is twice the phone at half the price.

how would you compare using the touch screen keyboard on the omnia to using the solid keyboard on the htc?
