Who needs Black Friday? $200 Dash Express, Free CrossOver Serial

Retail

Is today Black Tuesday? We don’t typically run deal news here on BGR but this morning we had info two pretty solid offers hit the old inbox and we wanted to let you guys know about them. First off, if a new GPS navigation unit is on your holiday list this year, waiting for Black Friday to roll around might not be the smart play. Today, for one day only, you can get the Dash Express GPS unit for $199.99 – a full $100 off the regular price. Sure, it’s not as sweet as getting one for free like our pal Richard did but it’s still a good deal for sure. Next up is an awesome free offer, also good for today only. CrossOver, an incredibly useful piece of software from CodeWeavers, is available free for everyone! For those unfamiliar with the program, CrossOver allows you to run Windows apps on a Mac or Linux box without the need for a more cumbersome virtual machine installation. Sweet! As you can imagine, the CodeWeavers site is getting hammered right now so don’t go crazy if it takes a while to get your download and free serial.

This thing is honking huge. I gave mine away.

The traffic reports in Connecticut were pitiful. It was neat to be able to transfer information via the Internet but my iPhone does location based searching with more options.

So where does that leave Dash Express?

    The $200 bargain bin…

If you buy a Dash Express you’d best be prepared to subscribe to their Internet service once your free trial runs out….all this to get info that most mobile phones can already get free.

$200? I’d rather get the TomTom ONE for $89.99 on online retailers.

these are great units, well worth the price. I have two co-workers with them and I am impressed with them.

    and the promotion is legit.

can you run ms office with crossover?

why does the site only show download links for mac titled, “mac pro” and “mac games”?

If I don’t have an mac pro, will “mac games” run ms office? or is it just for … well games?

Pro as in Pro version of the software vs the lite version, Games being a version tweaked for gaming.
