Is this the new MacBook Pro?

Rumor

Yeah, we don’t think so either. According to some 3rd party T-Mobile retailer in Germany, the image above is a real, honest-to-goodness rendering of what the new Apple MacBook Pro’s will look like. The company claims to have some of the machines in stock already, sporting specs that link up identically to the current crop of MBPs. Seems a little fishy, right? Why Apple would release an entirely revamped line of machines without so much as a minor spec bump is beyond us, and the images look a little too similar to the rumored descriptions that have been floating around for months now. Furthermore, would T-Mobile Germany really be the ones to break the news? Yeah, we didn’t think so. Still, we suppose these could represent Apple’s next move, but something must have been lost in the translation if that’s the case. Any thoughts?

if this was the truth, which i doubt, that would be pretty sad since i’ve been waiting foreverrr for these new mbp to come out.

I think they might be right with the Black around the screen but thats about it. These are just PR pics i think.
I would fully expect the new MBP to be shaped like the Air but with media drive and all the usual ports. just my guess.

I would agree with you Dtest.

Well I think the only way we can find out if someone orders one.

What do you say Mr. Boy Genius – what about taking one for the team and picking one of these up? Of course after you’re done putting it through the paces, I will be more than happy to provide it a loving home.

i second that rkdiddy. the strang thing is why would T-Mobile risk their rep with false products promotion?

    that part is just stupid!

What reputation? I have never heard of T-mobile even selling anything other than cellular phones and service before today, let alone Apple products.

In the US, they have 0 reputation in that regard.

As for the specs, I can’t really explain it because one can theorize all they want about what AAPL will do – in the end only Apple knows. That’s one problem with them being so damn tight lipped and unpredictable, I can’t plan upgrades.

My current Macbook Pro is aging and has a few battle scars, mostly from a little “incident” I had with my car and a tree with the MBP in the trunk without the computer case fully zipped. The computer survived intact with only minor nicks and scratches. I, however, received one very expensive helicopter ride. Although, obviously I survived as well. However, I would like to upgrade as it is a constant reminder of a certain problem I used to have.
