A Storm is coming on Sept 15th, presumably BlackBerry

Rumor

An internal email floating around Verizon Wireless hints at some “exciting news” coming on Sept 15th. According to Kevin Byrne, Verizon will tentatively launch “http://www.verizonwireless.com/storm” on September 15th, followed by the actual product launch on 11-1-08. Some more eye candy (Photoshop > Filters > Render clouds was the best they could do?) and a confirmation of the phone (finally) will be sweet, but don’t go standing in line to be the first to buy the Storm on November 1st. BG tells me you all will have to wait around one more week for that…

    Is it just me, or does anyone else think it’s inappropriate to release a product called storm during hurricane season, when people are losing their homes and lives during some of the worst storms?

    Where is this thing?

    @blah

    Yeah, I think it’s pretty much just you.

    LMAO at JD…And I think Verizon can pretty much do whatever they want these days (with all the money they’re making from Sprint costumers and AT&T individuals frustrated with the iPhone), including creating thunderstorms on the launch day. If you have not used a product don’t be an idiot and start saying it sucks and I’m pretty sure no one blogging and leaving comments on here has used it if BGR hasn’t eveng gotten his hands on one.

    And BGR do u really have to go at VZW’s head at every chance you get? Was the Photoshop joke necessary? It was kind of funny though. I know you love GSM but damn, let Verizon rock. They have loyal customers for a reason…even with all the complaints about downgrading phones or locking them down.
