New iPhone Software 2.0.2 Today, New iPhone Shipment for AT&T Tomorrow

I had to power mine on and off after the update, as I had a message that said no wifi. but now it works yay!

Well downloaded.. Didnt do anything differently.
Maybe more time should be spent on 3G, or lack
there of issues. To charge $10 bucks more for a phone that i have to keep in Edge mode 80% in
Major market-Chicago.

What do people think about a placebo update? Have the user download ~250 MB file, set the phone to show the apple logo, installer screen, whatever, and wait, then go back to the exact same phone, aside from an updated “build #” displayed in the settings/general/about page… then simply sit back and watch the blog comment pages as people hypothesize what “bug fixes” worked or didn’t work.

wouldn’t that be awesome to try one time if you were apple?

Man i guess im lucky. I get a great 3G signal almost everywhere here in L.A. I even did that download speed test and got 1.5 Mbps at my house when wireless was turned off!

I guess i am just anti social, but hell if i hardly ever make phone calls on my phone, thats what AIM, Texts, and Emails are for. So we dont ever have to communicate in person with another soul. And as an extra bonus, i never get dropped or failed calls cause i dont make them

And yes i knocked on wood with every word i typed in this post, but coming from a Blackberry Pearl- i could’t be happier with my phone. Though i do try to block out of my mind that it is an apple product.

I installed the update yesterday on my Iphone 3G and I have seen better signal strength. Infact today at my work I have 3G signal which I never had even on my previous 3G Blackjack. Apple has made some tweaks.
I had an area on the freeway where the coverage went from edge to 3G and yesterday and today I did not have a call drop. I wanted to test it today and give feedback.
The update did take a about 15 mins to install. Overall I am happy with the update.

…Daniel Soeyadi…part of what you said is true, I too love my iPhone.

However, with all the phone has to offer, you don’t think is wierd or someone has reason to complain when the phone is missing features that lesser phones have. No reason to beat a dead horse but, the phone has an YouTube app built into it but does not have video capability. Copy and Paste???

So, hopefully all bugs will be fixed…but what about some of the basic features that the phone is just lacking?

Better signal (3g) more bars in more places finally an update worth installing.

After upgrading to version 2.0.2 I no longer have any service on my phone. I’m in the exact same place that I have had a great connection and now “NO SERVICE” what’s up ? I have not tried other locations but service was perfect here and now none.
