Are you serious? Part 2

Opinions

Honestly, haven’t we had enough already? Giz, you don’t want it with the kid, I promise. I never said it was delayed, ever. I said it had major issues as any device four to five months out should! Never, ever, did I mention a delay of any sort. Instead, I actually repeated my previous scoop saying it’s on track for the same time frame we reported before. Please take a minute and re-read yesterday’s post again before complicating things and putting words in our mouths. You’re wrong. And you’re wrong about the name, too. Thunder is the codename. Bigger shot after the jump…

Hey VZW fanboys. It’s 3:35am and there are about 30 people in line here. Half of them are VZW getting ready to get the iPhone. They claim they’ve had it with THE NETWORK claims because most can’t get a signal in their house. And we are in the heart of Dallas. Not BFE.

I am also hearing that many are tired of ‘settling” on devices from VZW. Oh, you can get a blackberry that everyone else has had for a year if you are willing to forgo the GPS being open to anything but VZGaginator. Or can live without the crippled wifi. You VZW Perl fans, guess what? The rest of us that give a crap about that little ass pimple of a phone at least have the Perl 2. But don’t worry yourself. You’ll have the Pearl 2 sometime we have the Pearl 3.

VZW is an over rated, over priced, and the most egomaniacal carrier in the industry. All I hear from the VZW fanboys lately is 4G, 4G!!! Blah! You don’t even have your EVDO rev a rolled out in as many places as the failing Sprint network.

Considering that you don’t yet have a device that uses a real web browser like Safari, and most of your line up is “feature”phones, you 4g will be worth nothing except downloading overpriced ringtones and music that cost twice as much as the iPhone and won’t play it half as well. Who give a fuck about another incarnation of your Moto Razor with 4G???

Enjoy your last years Pearl and try not to secretly hate your carrier for passing on the most innovative device ever. VZW can’t help being control freaks. I mean, that want to make sure if you snap a pic with your penisEnV, that you have to pay to VCast to get it off of YOUR phone.

It comes down to phone or network. Obviously people on VZW choose network / service over the phone. What good is your iPhone when you don’t get service. lol @ “VZW can’t help being control freaks” coming from an iphone user.

Wow BG, I thought you were a decent guy when I started reading your blog a month ago or so. However, this just shows how immature you are. I feel embarrassed being a part of this site now.

  • BBAddict

Haha. Great job coming over here and making yourself look like an idiot. Get with the program. We’re talking about the Thunder not the Bold. I’d suggest taking some of your own advice.

Give it a rest. You sound like a moody teenager.

    @Evilhomer

I agree with a lot of what you say, but i mean how much of a hassle will it be for me to move from VZW to AT&T? And the cost too? I have my pearl bill+ my aircard to pay, won’t I be charged a huge penalty from bailing?

This is the biggest reason for me not to jump ship…

I have to admit it hurts sitting on the fence!

I just grabbed this off a MarketWatch article. I wonder where Dick Windsor is getting his information from? Any ideas?

Research in Motion struggling with ‘touch’

LONDON (MarketWatch) — BlackBerry maker Research in Motion is struggling with the touch interface on its upcoming Thunder device, Nomura analyst Richard Windsor said in a note to clients Thursday. Windsor said he understands the implementation of touch on a BlackBerry is much further behind in the development cycle than Nokia Corp.’s efforts. “Those who have handled prototypes complain of poor typing, unresponsive keys, bugs in the user interface cause by touch as well as accelerometer issues,” Windsor reported. He said that although he is confident the issues will be worked out, the market is unlikely to see Thunder for some time. In a similar vein Windsor said that when Nokia’s Tube device hits the market he’s concerned it won’t be “jazzy” or “whizzy” enough to wean people off their Apple, Inc. iPhones.

I can’t wait to get my new iphone 3g man!!!

  • http://BoyGenius Z

Man I work for a national wireless company, but when I want updated information about our very own future handset lineup, I turn to the genius. This info is out at least a month before our company even thinks of letting us EMPLOYEES know. By the way this information turns into profit!!!!

  • Unrest

I depend on BGR as well as other mobile tech sights for a lot of entertainment and information, but I will say, the way BGR is “fighting” like this is kind of… stupid. I’m honestly surprised, it’s a waste of webspace. Post this crap on your personal sites… I don’t want it on my RSS feeds. =P
